Rush Limbaugh Named Kids' Author of the Year
Los Angeles Times ^ | May 15, 2014 | Hector Tobar

Posted on 05/15/2014 6:43:19 PM PDT by lbryce

Rush Limbaugh, the conservative radio commentator who is a kind of a boogeyman to liberals, was honored Wednesday night with a children’s book award.

Limbaugh won the Author of the Year prize in the Children’s Choice Book Awards for his book “Rush Revere and the Brave Pilgrims: Time-Travel Adventures with Exceptional Americans.”

In accepting the award, Limbaugh was typically combative (if somewhat more subtly than usual standards).

“I love America. I wish everybody did,” he said. “I hope everybody will. It's one of the most fascinating stories in human history ... and it's a delight and it's an opportunity to try to share that story with young people so they can grow and learn to love and appreciate the country in which they're growing up and will someday run and lead and inherit.”

They probably didn’t watch it, they simply read about it on leftist blogs and reported it

Rush has the seasoned, and now some crumb-crunchers.

I think he should try to rope in a bunch of teens b4 they hit college:

He could Japanify an anime pilot of some of his stuff and bounce it off of an appropriate focus group after he NDA’ed them.

If Beck has his whole own channel, why can’t Rush also...?

I will say this politely, your response makes no sense. Academically, reality? I am going to sleep, this is gobleldyygook, intentionally misspelled, if there is a spelling for that word. Good night.

The Tea ad - Two if by Tea's profits are all donated to the children of fallen military members, not to Rush's own wealth.

Instead of asking you to send money to this well-known charity, he's offering to send you something in return for that donation.

Liberals are screaming bloody murder over Rush’s award.

What makes them different from Nazis? Real question.

Are they burning Rush's book?

Just like their satanic, anti-family agenda, they don’t want their anti-Americanism pointed out either.

And when someone does, THEY are the bad guy.

I suppose that instead of "they have become unhinged," a better thing to say would have been: "They seem to be taking it awfully personally. Methinks they protest too much."

I guess we can give them a bit of advice:

If you don’t want to be called anti-American Satan worshippers,
don’t act like anti-American Satan worshippers.

I have bought cases and cases of his tea. And I am intolerant of caffeine! My family likes it. But I do think he doesn’t need an ad in his children’s book. I definitely appreciate his philanthropism. He is quietly one of the most generous men. Love that about him.

But take the ad for your tea out of the book; that’s a little classless.

Tis better to be classless in the eyes of the clueless than clueless in the eyes of those ignorant to capitalism and marketing............

Are they burning Rush's book?

You don't have to burn books to behave like fascist nazi's.........

You think that Rush would be accepted as a guest speaker to the commencement exercises at a university such as Rutgers?

Evidently Condoleezza Rice wasn't....Fascists have a history of hating blacks, conservatives and anyone who doesn't subscribe to their own hate based philosophy.......

The ovens are so passe' now that we have civilized fascists such as you who can serve the same purpose via censorship........

I too, am pretty "intolerant" to caffeine.

You are correct on Rush's quiet philanthropy and generosity.

I love that about him as well as many other things.

Blessings to you.
