A new study commissioned by PhRMA finds that many consumers in ObamaCare’s insurance exchanges could end up paying more than twice as much in out-of-pocket drug costs. The report for the nation’s top drug lobby was conducted by actuarial firm Milliman, which found that people on the Silver Plan, the most popular ObamaCare plan, would likely pay 130 percent more for out-of-pocket prescription drugs compared to people on similar employer-sponsored plans. One reason why out-of-pocket costs are likely to be higher is because employer plans are more generous than typical Silver Plans, according to the report. However, the numbers don’t account for

I’m on an employer plan for retirees. My out of pocket for some drugs (name brands) has doubled this year. Even if I was working, I would balk at paying the co-pay. Generics are still pretty inexpensive.

How could it not given all the bureaucracies, costs/inefficiences and pre existing conditioned insureds?

Not to worry. In a couple of years when most all employers have dumped their employees into Obamacare, everyone will be paying double for their RX’s. Fairness achieved.

Duh!

They already have!

And I’ve still got the same insurance I’ve always had!

Obamacare is simply the lowest common denominator to which all “coverage” will descend.

Let’s see, I still have the same “great” insurance I’ve always had....except:

My Premiums have Doubled,
My Co-Pays have Doubled,
My Deductible amount has Doubled.....

My Flex Spending limits have been cut in half....

many consumers in ObamaCare’s insurance exchanges

An outright lie! It has also happened across the private insurance spectrum to cover those in the subsidized exchanges. Of course those of us who can afford private insurance can afford it. Sarcasm intended.

That's not a flaw of 0bamaCare it's a feature. They're just trying to help people reach the increased deductible threshold faster.

Obummercare is going to drive many people to alternative healers, to those who heal without drugs. Also, many of us will get super dedicated to STAYING HEALTHY…weight loss, exercise, no smoking, excellent diets. We’re going to have to take care of ourselves, because Bummercare will not.

Maybe I’ll take up surgery as a hobby.

And sadly, to many unscrupulous "online" pharmacies who provide questionable, ineffective, and sometimes dangerous look-alike medicines.

Yes, More of Hillary’s Marxist philosophy:

“We can’t be responsible for every under-capitalized business in the country.”

Somebody should have explained to her that funding her Marxist idology is NOT an element of Capitalism!

Same with them impacts of Obamacare!

Just because we can “afford” $10,000 per year for our family’s healthcare, doesn’t mean we can “afford” $20,000!!!
