Pete Wilson blasts Tim Donnelly, saying he would damage GOP (another moderate heard from!)

Former Gov. Pete Wilson urged California Republicans on Thursday not to support Tim Donnelly, the party's frontrunner in the gubernatorial race, saying his theatrics and personal controversies would drag down other Republicans on the ballot in the fall.

"Keeping public focus on the real and important issues facing California will require a candidate who does not have to defend Tim Donnelly's bizarre votes and statements or his irresponsible personal behavior," Wilson said in a letter first published on the conservative blog FlashReport.org. "With Tim Donnelly on the ballot, it would be a losing campaign, risking injury to our party and our state, and to other Republican candidates who deserve to win."

Wilson, who has endorsed Donnelly's main Republican opponent, Neel Kashkari, is the latest prominent Republican to publicly rebuke Donnelly. Many members of the GOP's political and professional classes fear Donnelly, a tea party favorite, could damage the party's effort to attract independent voters and minorities if he finishes first among Republicans in the June 3 primary election and advances to a runoff against Gov. Jerry Brown in the fall.

From Pete Wilson's LinkedIn page....

Pete strengthens Bingham Consulting’s West Coast services by expanding its reach and experience nationally and internationally, particularly where business and governmental interests intertwine. With a deep knowledge of policies, people and processes of government at all levels, he reinforces Bingham Consulting’s philosophy that today’s successful businesses need to work with governments — not only in Washington, D.C. — but on a state-by-state basis.

Sooooooo. How's that working out for the State of Caliphornia? Well. According to this article published at Forbes.com, California ranks 48th in business climate.

Hugh Hewitt had him on his show the other to say these things.

Yesterday Hewitt opened the show with Rove, who talked about how good Kashkari seems to him, after Hewitt brought him up.

From the article....

Wilson, a former U.S. senator, assemblyman and San Diego mayor, chaired Meg Whitman's failed gubernatorial campaign in 2010.

'Nuff said.

Pete Wilson is right. TD is a nut-job. My husband continues to quote him, as Donnelly said quite publicly, “I married a California Hottie.” I’d give anything to have Pete Wilson as Governor again.

In Maine, the most extreme left wing liberal senator in Congress endorsed rino Susan Collins for election. This after she used a reelection ad that was nothing more than an ad for wind power, the thing that is f=going to make Angus a billionaire.

I am dying to announce something about Maine’s secession, something that happens within hours of the secession vote on June 12, 2018. But i cannot get the Pastor to allow it. But trust me, it is not going to make Pingree, King, and the rest of those in Washington, from Maine, happy.

While it is still in the workings, I can say, we will not be as Tory friendly as the New Republic was on Sept. 17, 1787.

OK, somebody fill us in. What has Donnelly done that is so gosh-awful? This coming from Pete Wilson and also Karl Rove is saying that if Donnelly is the GOP candidate for Governor, it will hurt Pubbies nationwide. Anyone Rove is against, I tend to be for, but.... IS DONNELLY DUDE ANOTHER TODD AKIN OR RICHARD MOURDOCK?

Never mind folks... I read the Article:

a larceny case in Michigan in 1985 on a drunken "prank," while the assemblyman more recently pleaded no contest to two misdemeanors after carrying a loaded gun into Ontario International Airport in 2012. Donnelly, a former member of anti-illegal immigration Minuteman Project, has also sparked controversy for his recent attempt to tie Kashkari to Islamic law.

Yeah; he's an idiot. Not that any of his transgressions were horrible, but to think he could run for a powerful office like Gov. of California and all these skeletons not come crawling out. Our team picks another "real winner".... JUST DAMN!

States Calling For Secession Was A Protest Tactic That Has Nothing to do with “race” Gets Blown Off allowing the opposition to describe it as “racist”

As the leadership of the so called political opposition (Republican) will wonder why as they lose a crucial election because of their inability to stand on principles.Let alone demonstrate they are politically dysfunctional.

Unwilling to work with or even recognize legitimate concerns from what in reality are the Reagan voters of 2014 known as “tea party” members. Demonstrate once again an inability to congeal into a unified working political unit. Because they did not learn from 2012 and continue to blow off 2014.

Because they refused to interpret and defend a pronouncement of secession by individual states which was designed:as a tactic emphasizing protest. With the reasons for doing so citing;

The dispair, distrust, and disgust with an administration which has adandoned any pretence of following its constitional restrictions. Ruling through lies deception and corruption with what is best described as a soft tyranny.

Allow that motion of secession to be rejected out of hand when their party meets in convention without offering why it was considered

Whether or not that root cause may or may not have appeared in any text of the draft of the many individual states resolutions supporting secession.

That reasoning should be acknowledged even when voting the measure down at individual caucus and convention meets..Because those citations (reasons) were brought up when a discussion of such a secesession resolution took form.. Certainly not racism

Even those who don’t agree with this tactic are under obligation. Nay, duty if you are in a position to put down this matter. Do not to allow it it to be defined by the democrats as racist.

Where That Resolution Was Put Down ALMOST SUMMARILY Without That Discussion....INTEREST IN THE PARTY WILL DROP

Instead too many some even in talk radio allowed the controled media once again define the terms . Many, because they work within or seek approval from what they consider “peers” who are incapable of objectivity are unrelenting in the socialist direction they advocate, and refuse to recognize that fact.

. Instead of dancing to the tune driven by the media counter bringing up this little matter, never even covered by the media :

Use what the democrats did at their 2012 convention..

Suggesting there is no wonder why the regime and the democrats lie so much, was because they had discarded God, thus the 10 commandments and sin..

Instead the GOP ruling class commited a most grevious sin. Allowing the political opposition namely the democrat party through its propaganda arm known as the media decribe the secede measure as frivolous and racist. But secession was a protest which had nothing to do with racism. It was a legitimate expression of disgust the way this country is being run.Where it should have been presented as such !.

Unfortunately some in republican party leadership repeated the racist media talking point . Many RINOS dismissed it as insanity.

Public comments such as that simply demonstrates that as political opposition this groups leadership in setting up talking points is encouraging strife between principled members and clearly does not get it. Lets hope a repeat of this does not happen at the 2016 national.

When the political opposition (republicans) refuses to even mention their opponents debate (2012 Dem convention) about deleting any reference to God at their convention in their platform. When the democrats did so throwing out any reference to the Creator as an after thought was shoved back in by the chair which was greeted with boos and jeers two days later. Certainly hardly indicates any conviction to following God let alone His 10 commandments. Thus giving the Republican party a selling point which they are not using..Asserting the present democrat party as presently constituted is not the party of your fathers or even the founders of this country..

Not refering to that 2012 episode when even dismissing such resolutions as secession as silly without considering or listing their reasons is discarding supporters plus a political opportunity to use a potent political charge.

Wilson paved the way for the death of the CA GOP. He gave the state Off-White Davis. Deukmejian was the last great Governor. It’s time for a Conservative again, go Donnelly !
