Steelworkers employed by Ukraine's richest man have stepped in to restore order in the eastern city of Mariupol after deadly clashes.
Employees of Rinat Akhmetov joined forces with Ukrainian police to force out pro-Russian separatists who had taken control of government buildings.
This may be a new strategy to push back separatists, a BBC correspondent says.

Time to call in the union thugs?
I have to LMAO at “maybe.” Calling it a strategy makes it out to be iffy. It worked. Pro-separatists can’t stand up to the large numbers. I’d like them to try to beat the miners and steelworkers like the people who were marching for a united Ukraine.
You wouldn’t have time to eat much popcorn before that show was over.
The curious thing is the media hasn’t reported much on the end of the separatist intimidation.
