Climate Change Research Axed in Australia
Guardian Liberty Voice ^ | May 16, 2014 | by Lydia Bradbury

The fallout from the new government’s budget is still being seen in Australia, but it is already obvious that climate change is a loser when it comes to funding.

The budgetary facts are inescapably grim for researchers and scientists based in renewable energies and research. The funding for all government programs related to climate change is set to shrink at an alarming rate, going from $5.75 billion this year to a scant $500 million in the next four years.

This should reduce the scientific “consensus “ significantly.

Oz sees the light. They know that contrary to all the hysterics about Antarctic ice melting on one coast, the ice field grew even more on the other coast. But who wants to report that “ inconvenient truth?

In that one sentence, there is all you need to know.

Where there is that kind of money, the con men, thieves and politicians (that is redundant, isn’t it) flock to it.

As Willie Sutton said when asked why he robbed banks:”That’s where the money is.”

And the big universities are the most unethical of all. They would cut out grandmother’s eyes for a federal grant.

Funding hoaxes and scams isn’t a very smart thing to do with taxpayer dollars.

What likely convinced the Aussies was their former Labour government enacting a carbon tax that boosted electric rates 125%. The Aussies threw out Julia Galliard's Labour government and put Tony Abbot in charge. The Liberal Party (conservatives over here) ran on a platform of ending the carbon tax.

Perhaps when Emperor Obama's carbon decrees hit the fan leaving many Americans sweltering or freezing in their darkened homes because they cannot afford their electric bills or standing in long lines for their ration of $5 per gallon gasoline they too might throw the SOBs out of office.

Uh-oh, if they stop paying faux scientists to fudge their climate models, some real science might get through. The left is not going to be happy with that. Decades of propaganda, scheming, brainwashing and dystopian dreams might wither away. Progress might have a renaissance.

Stopping the bleeding is step one. Next, consider your statues of limitations and start fraud investigations into eligible past ‘green’ expenditures. They should be profitable! Start with a recently newsworthy Antarctic party cruise. If the Aussies have anything like our RICO laws go for triple damages.

Who would be the winners in climate change?

Hmmm, a warm Siberia, a wet Outback...

Why don’t the Aussies just borrow several trillion $$$ to fund “green energy” like fedgov does?

“And the big universities are the most unethical of all.”

Big state universities are essentially government education agencies, so like the EPA, NHI, HUD, etc they simply do the bidding of the government in a particular field.

Big private university are like big private companies that have been co-opted by government and vice-versa, i.e. crony capitalism (aka - fascism).

Smaller university are not much different, with the few exceptions like Hillsdale college that don’t take government money.

“Thousands of jobs exist in rural areas where renewable energy sources like wind and solar power have a great presence. Wind mills and solar energy outposts have to be built in rural areas that have enough space to accommodate them.”

I missed the part of the article where he mentions that wind mills and solar energy will now be OUTLAWED. If it’s not outlawed, then there will be jobs out there...assuming they can make an economic case - and that may well be true for a lot of that desolate area.
