Connecticut lawmakers voted to ban chocolate milk from school lunchrooms statewide as they wrapped up their legislative session Wednesday, in a move that critics warned could change kids' lunchtime habits for the worse.
The legislation, which next heads to Gov. Malloy's desk, makes revisions to the education statutes in order to comply with new federal school lunch standards on sodium, which is found in chocolate milk.

Oh, but he was called to task over that in a big way. He had to call a news conference a couple days later and say you can’t make a chocolate drink without using mostly delicious white milk. LOL
The federal government has crawled so far up our asses they are telling us what can go in our mouths.
I ran a school milk route for several years. One kid will make a comment about the milk tasting funny and it will spread out to the entire cafeteria.

We have gone so far down the toilet that a baggie of Nestle’s Quik is contraband. Strawberry will get you on additional charges.
Chocolate milk.....the number one problem facing our schools today.

NEW School lunches = Waste of money...better for the children to eat something rather than throwing away a lunch.
Are these people insane?
A peanut butter sandwich is not offensive, or a grilled cheese made with something other than transfats; and home lunches should be allowed. I would bet soup and a sandwich the children would want is better than the stuff from Mooches menu.
Unbelievable waste of food...but what can you expect when they think they can throw away trillions of taxpayer’s hard earned money. Parents need to step up and really protest this new lunch crap!
If you remember E Coli came from CA spinach; and if salads and fruits aren’t cleaned property they pose a stronger risk than Pizza, Sandwiches, Mac n Cheese, or any other lunch menu previous to this scam.

Oh?...And...how are you going to get a town or even a small street to agree on the religious worldview of the school? Godless? Some other religion? Pagan? Christian? Please remember that **no** school can be religiously neutral because such a philosophical state of neutrality can not exist in the mind of any sentient human.
