RNC chair on Hillary: 'I actually doubt very much whether she actually will run'

In what most political observers would say is some wildly wishful thinking, Republican National Committee chairman Reince Priebus said on Sunday that he doesn't believe Hillary Clinton will run for president in 2016.

"Given the month she just had, I actually doubt very much whether she actually will run for president in 2016," Priebus said on "Meet The Press." "I know a lot of people around her want her to run. And I think that they're purposely creating this environment [of inevitability] around her."

Priebus said he believes questions surrounding Clinton's health recently raised by Republican strategist Karl Rove, coupled with lingering questions about the attacks in Benghazi and her record as secretary of state will make her think twice about running for president.

"I don't think there's a graceful way to bring up age, health and fitness for a candidate that wants to be president of the United States," Priebus said. "I think the more important issue for me, as leader of this party, is, what's the record of Hillary Clinton? What was her record as a secretary of state? Benghazi, Boko Haram, Syria, Russia. Those are going to be the issues that I believe will cause her to rethink whether she actually wants to run for president.

I think Rove's words were "brain trauma".

He's right...even Bill Clinton said Hillary took six months to recover. That's not a small illness.

If Preibus can’t see that she’s setting herself up for a run then he’s a moron and shouldn’t be at the top of the GOP.

These GOPe Reince Priebus types are delusional. It’s either that or outright deception. Hillary is already running. She’s had the makeover, her media agents are on it, and President Clinton, aka Slick Willy, is in campaign mode. That doesn’t mean she’s unified the Democrats. It’s clear to me she’s facing some opposition in those quarters, but Hillary is definitely running.

She is playing the stalking horse. Keeping attention away from the real candidates until they are ready to spring them on us.

“She already is running.”

It looks like we’ve reached the same conclusion. If you ask me, she’s already got the Botox injections lined up from now until November 2016.

“Becoming a grandmother will take her out of the running.”

ROFL! No need to use a sarcasm tag on that!

It all depends on if Obama want's a third term or not.

After all, that whole "term limits" amendment thing ratified by a bunch of racists would apply to the first "Africans american" president?

Hillary (D) would be 70 years old her first term - the same age Ronald Reagan was his first term.

Anyone remember the fuss the press made about how old Ronald Reagan (R) was when he ran? The press said he was too old.

Or how old Bob Dole (R) was? The press said he was too old.

Or even how terrible old John McCain (R) was compared to Obama... The press said he was too old.

Seems the press is a bunch of liars, fools, or biased know-it-alls... How else to explain the reason age mattered soooooooo much when a person had an "R" by their name - but doesn't matter at all when there's a "D" beside the name... Can't wait to hear their self-servicing excuses... Jerks.

Did Priebus actually say that? Here is what I think he actually said:

“I actually doubt very much whether she actually will run for president in 2016, actually.”

There is nothing besides death that will prevent Hillary from running....

She is heir apparent to Obama throne...

The Clinton’s may depise the Obama’s but their socialist ideology will make strange bedfellows in the run up to 2016....

The GOPe fails to know the obvious- that your description if her is good enough for all democrats and their voters
That’s what we’re up against

It would never be good enough for a repub candidate. So what. When is it going to occur to people tgat there are two completely different standards??

I vote power hungry. As she said herself, she did not stay home and bake cookies, or raise her daughter, either, for that matter.

Only if the realities of what health problems Herself, Madame Benghazi, the Cold & Joyless, become so very apparent they cannot be dismissed. Regardless of diminished mental capacity and perhaps muscular coordination problems that may exist, only a very public demonstration of that inadequacy is likely to derail what Herself has been pursuing for lo, these many years.

To all the other diagnoses that have been offered (stroke, coronary problems, probably diabetes), might we add a form of mental deterioration associated with dipsomania? Herself seems to have n almost unnatural craving for alcoholic drink in most any form, and while it has probably marginally affected her job performance for years, Herself is probably a relatively high-functioning alcoholic. But those years had to have taken their toll by now.

“Reset button”. That episode had to leave the Russians looking on in amazement all the while it was being played out.

Things have sort of gone downhill from there in our relations with Russia.
