At Yale’s Class Day, Kerry warns of an ‘excess of isolation’

Today, Kerry observed, America seems to have swung from an “excess of intervention” in the world to an “excess of isolation.”

“Today, the felt needs are growing at a faster pace than ever before, piling up on top of each other while the response in legislatures of foreign capitals seems nonexistent or frozen,” Kerry said. “It’s not that the needs aren’t felt. It’s that people around the world seem to have grown used to seeing systems or institutions failing to respond. The result is an obvious, deepening frustration, if not exasperation, with institutional governance.”

A world of deferred decisions and avoided challenges is “stealing the future from all of us,” Kerry added.

It honestly never fails to amaze me, when Leftists in power lament what their own policies have garnered us.

Welcome to your brave new world John.

WTF? This administration sure isn’t showing any move toward isolation, the current resident is willing to put American soldiers lives in in jeopardy at the drop of a hat for.........................muslims. There’s no end to the American lives and tax dollars he’s willing to expend for his muslim brothers.

Isolation is a dream come true while these corrupt clowns are running things. All you need to do is look at Benghazi.

Nobody is this O admin is fit for duty. The CIC is a phony nitwit and the VP is a court jester. And Kerry, he is a traitor and a douche.

Lurch and his boss are ineptness personified. Their blunders could convince the most strident interventionist to rethink the wisdom of gettting involved abroad.

I still remember watching his testimony before the foreign relations subcommittee back in 1971. I was 14 years old and watched it on a black and white television. I recall thinking “there is something wrong with this picture” but not quite being able to put my finger on it. In the years since I have been amazed that this phony was ever elected to the Senate, and astonished that Obama would put him in as SOS. What must the Yale grads be thinking of this fool?

...the world seem to have grown used to seeing systems or institutions failing...

Bush was able to lead institutions like Congress, the UN, and countless allies to his foreign policies. It seems the "failing" started with your 'clean & articulate' pal.

“Today, the felt needs are growing at a faster pace than ever before, piling up, in the manner of Gengis Khan, on top of each other while the response in legislatures of foreign capitals seems nonexistent or frozen,” Kerry said. “It’s not that the needs aren’t felt. It’s that, in the manner of Gengis Khan, people around the world seem to have grown used to seeing systems or institutions failing to respond. Obama / Kerry get us involved in the wrong messes, and then skuttle our naval fleet.  It's the one-two of Leftist foreign policy.  It's the gift that keeps on givening, and we're beginning to see the unraveling of this policy.

Even Kerry isn't stupid enough to miss the warning signs.  And yet the idiot can't figure out why it's all happening.

Get this helpless bastard out of there.

If the GOP was in power, the American people will feel the same. Number one reason - the people we saved never thank us. Instead they hate our guts. Remember what Vietnam said after we withdrew. Remember what they did with our MIA bodies and used it as bargaining chips. Drank alot of toasts with Soviet officials about the coming fall of the US. Same with Phillipines. Yankee go home ring a bell Freepers. Now China is threatening them, they want us to come back.\
Same with Iraq and Afghanistan. Has the average Muzzie on the street express gratittude. These two countries plus ally Pakistan ranks as one of the top five nations polled where the average street person HATES the US. Egypt and Iran are the other top five countries. Average street EU (German, French, Brit) give US a swift kick in the ass once in a while (after we saved most of them in WW2). Americans had enough. We have our own problems to fix. Like it or not the next candidate speaks about the US got to lead in the world will lose the election.
The US did not become a great power lead by a Napoleon. We became a worldpower after the powers of the day killed each other in two WW. The only time I saw the Dems and GOP unite in a war is after we got attacked on 9/11. Never saw the two parties unite fighting a war overseas to prevent a hypothetical threat. Domino Theories don’t cut it, but a Pearl Harbor works.
That is the nature of Americans. Know that and who ever leads will get reelected two terms. Forget that and will end up like LBJ and GWB.
