Pope in Visit Will ‘Recognize Palestine, Call to End Occupation’ (says ‘Pali Christian’ priest)

Palestinian Authority (PA) and Arab Christian sources are already celebrating Pope Francis’ visit to Israel starting next Sunday, saying his choice to begin the trip directly in PA-held Bethlehem is meant to “recognize Palestine” and “oppose the occupation.”

“He is taking a helicopter directly from Jordan to Palestine—to Bethlehem. It’s a kind of sign of recognizing Palestine,” Father Jamal Khader of the Latin patriarchate in Jerusalem told AFP.

The claims that his trip will begin in a “recognition of Palestine” comes amid reports from February by Rabbi Sergio Bergman, a member of the Argentinian parliament and close friend of Pope Francis, who said that the pope intends to define himself as the “Che Guevera of the Palestinians” and support their “struggle and rights” during his visit. …

Are we sure this Pope isn’t working for Obama?

I read it twice, but I missed the part where he would call on the Palis to recognize Israel.

Who: the Pope
What: He will advocate as Che Guevera (a mass murderer)
When: He will speak of these things on arrival
Where: In God’s City, Jerusalem.
Why: The Pope as his Church from milleniums past, just do not care for Jews.
How: By his singular position to speak for 1 billion Catholics he will support the division of Israel.

Then God will act also.

His fury will show in face and he will execute judgment.

That is all I have to say about this.

Like the Bishop in a chess game, the Pope is moving diagonally and when the way is clear, is able to move all the way to the other side of the board. Even though the Current Occupant is playing checkers, or maybe Tiddly-Winks, the rest of the world is playing chess, some of it in three dimensions.

The Pope does not work for Obama, but occasionally their actions align. This is of no permanent advantage for the Current Occupant.

It’s my HOPE that a lot of this is just spin, put out
by the PA to try and gain as much as they can from the visit;
and that the Vatican doesn’t counter it, because, among other things, those (false?) expectations will make it “safer” for the Pope to travel through PA territory.

But that, in fact, none of the expected declarations will happen.

But, that remains to be seen...

This “pope” is not Catholic. He is marxist!

If he continues this way then those protestants who call the RCC the whore of babylon may not be too far off. (And I’ve always thought they were incredibly flaky!)

Read “A woman rides the beast” by Dave Hunt. I’m not totally sold that an apostate RCC is the woman...but he makes good points and its a good history lesson...one most Catholics don’t want to hear.

Always some remote or nebulous source. I will believe it when and if it happens.

It’s an idiotic book, based on a completely eisegetical reading of Scripture.

I hope this is yet another example of the Left putting words in the Pontiff’s mouth. Hope so, anyway. IMO, Pope Francis is not the revolutionary he is made out to be.

That said, previous Popes have tread carefully around Islam, ostensibly to protect Christian minorities in Muslim-dominated states.

I agree with whoever said that the Pope should also call upon the Palis to recognize Israel. Sauce for the gander.

Oh, right. Well, I mean, I can't think of any other reason why the Pope would go out his way to visit Bethlehem, can you?

The place in infamous for never having enough hotel rooms available.
