And they know that there is nothing they can do to change it.

"Well, the trouble with our liberal friends is not that they're ignorant; it's just that they know so much that isn't so." - Ronald Reagan

There is plenty they can do, if they'll get off their butts and DO it!

I’m afraid that too many of them think the barrel of the gun down which they are staring is the pipeline to a bright future where everything will be free, I tell you, FREE”

Thank the socialists and marxists now STILL warping young minds in the government schools.

This is wishful thinking on Kurt’s part. Millenials are different. Truly, they are. They’re never going to turn down the siren song of “Free!”. They’re the most entitlement-sensitive humans beings in history. Just because they’re becoming more cynical about the process doesn’t mean that they reject the process itself: they still want free college, free housing, free medical care, etc etc etc. Freedom is hard, and they don’t want hard.

I was conservative when I was 20, so I toatally reject the first part of that statement. You become conservative when your brain kicks in. Mine did it at about 8 when I first saw a union picket line, and after it was explained to me what they were doing, I realized that they were bullies no different from the ones at school except capabale of doing more harm.

Ok, I didn’t realize that last phrase at the time. Took me a few more years.

The youngins I deal with know communism failed but Marxism is the greatest thing ever. I do not have much faith in the ones coming out of public education.

Actually the young are more thoroughly and successfully indoctrinated than ever before.

Some of us managed to evade the indoctrination. Not all of us, but some of us.

Good for you!

I was thoroughly indoctrinated and didn’t break out of it until my mid-20’s.

That quote was Winston Churchill justifying to himself and to others his turncoat nature between joining the Conservatives, switching to the Liberals, and then back to the Conservatives depending on which party he felt would be most advantageous to his ambitions.
