When Andy and Katie Johnson built a pond on their property in 2011 to provide water for their cattle, they never dreamed it would result in threats of $75,000 a day in fines from the Environmental Protection Agency.
The Johnsons believed they had done everything necessary to get permission for the pond, where the tiny Six Mile Creek runs through their property south of Fort Bridger, Wyo. The Wyoming State Engineer's Office provided the permit and even stated in an April 4, 2013 letter to the Johnsons: "All of the legal requirements of the State Engineer's Office, that were your responsibility, have been satisfied for the Johnson Stock Reservoir."
The EPA saw it differently -- and sent the Johnsons a Jan. 30 notice informing them they had violated the Clean Water Act, which could carry thousands of dollars in fines.
"I believe that the EPA does need to regulate industry and the bigger projects," Andy Johnson conceded, "but my little pristine stock pond, I believe, is a waste of our taxpayer money for them to come after me. It's a waste of my time, it's a waste of my money and we're going to fight it."
In their notice, the EPA cited the couple for "the discharge of pollutants (i.e., dredged or fill material) into the waters of the United States," for building a dam and for not getting a permit from the Army Corps of Engineers.

How ‘bout we see when the BLM, or some other thug agency with a SWAT team shows up to seize water, kill fish, break down the damn/spillway etc etc etc...
Then again I’d probably be criticized for not being there to get a photo op with the land owner if I say much of anything bad about any politician showing up after the fact like at the Bundy Ranch...

The EPA are from Blueland, those areas on the coast and in large metropolitan areas. They are at war with Redland. They have always been at war with Redland. The people of Redland have not fought back because they thought that their politicians were looking out for them. The people of Redland were wrong, their politicians have been selling them out.
How many Ukranians did STALIN starve to death? That’s what is in play here. They will shut down every private ranch and farm in the nation until entire cities starve to death.

So my question would be who's bureaucratic friend or politican drove by, saw the farm, and is coveting that families land, using the federal government to obtain it for them?

If brown trout can live in that pond, they’re not polluting anything. How it could possibly be affecting any navigable waterway, I have no idea.
From the start the EPA was filled with wildeyed liberal college grads without a minutes real world experience. Most of the past they have been held in check, but under the WhiteyHut they are cut loose to do whatever damages they can. The term “watermelon” fits them to a tee.
Hang on to your asses my friends because the next rul coming out in 2016/2017 is that DIRT is going to be classified as solid waste! So if you dig a hole or your local water/sewer provider need to excavate to fix or install a pipe, that dirt will need to be tested before it can be put back in the hole!!!
They are now banning the use of goat herds to control invasive weeds along stream banks because of the goat poop and urine can get into the water!
It’s no longer navigable water, the new term is waters of the state.
That figures. Kind of like my last fishing trip. I had some fish to clean and all my life I've cleaned them at the place I caught them. I throw the guts in the water instead of the garbage can at home. Thus that part of the fish gets eaten by turtles and other fish. Game Warden walks up and blesses me out for cleaning the fish there instead of at home. I made the mistake of questioning the logic behind it. His best answer was people living downstream were tired of seeing fish heads. Now I've fished downstream and never recalled seeing such except in a specific spot where fish very recently had been cleaned. Our tax dollars and licensing fees at work.
As for the goat poop? Hum I'd like to see an EPA Stooge take it up with a horned Billy or horned lead Nanny LMAO.
