Lt. Gov. David Dewhursts re-election campaign reported Monday that it has outstanding loans totaling more than $5.3 million, indicating that the incumbent lieutenant governor ponied up around $3 million out of pocket since the final week of February to try and beat Dan Patrick.
That comes on top of $2 million that Dewhurst lent his campaign earlier in the cycle.
Candidates in the May 27 runoff are facing a midnight deadline to file campaign finance reports with the Texas Ethics Commission. The full filings wont be publicly available online until Tuesday morning and thats when well know details about who contributed and exactly how much Dewhurst loaned his campaign.

May this be money down the hole as he goes down. Establishment to the core.
Dewhurst is a sleazeball that only knows how to run a negative campaign, just like he did when he ran against Ted Cruz.
Is Texas in that bad of shape under Dewhurst? Just want input on him.
Will be early voting today or tomorrow. I was going for Patrick, but ...
Please, honest opinions, no rudeness. Thx
Falcon Seaboard was founded in 1935 by Ted Law and several innovative Texans. In 1981, after the company was sold, the name was reacquired by Ted Law. Both Mr. Law and David Dewhurst reestablished the company and by the mid-1980's all the stock was purchased by David Dewhurst. Falcon Seaboard became one of the earliest independent electric power companies (cogeneration) in Texas. When the power plants were sold in 1996, it owned plants in three states, demand side management companies and had gas production in both onshore and offshore in the United States and Canada.
Wiki:
I want to strangle that smarmy *&%(%$ he’s running in his attack ads.
Conservatives should hold 100% of the chairmanships.
Dewhurst is a liberal republican that is the favorite of the GOP-E.
Dewhurst must get the boot.
Lt. Governor in Texas is the most powerful elected position in the State government. He controls all legislation.

Neither one is ideal but Patrick will be okay for a while. Goal is to get rid of Dewhurst so please vote for Patrick.
Lt. Governor and Senate Majority Leader are two most powerful people in Texas government. Lots of reasons to get rid of Dewhurst while we have an opportunity to do so. We’ll deal with Patrick later if we need to.

I hear you..
I’ve listened to Dan Patrick on his radio show and I find him untrustworthy. He’s essentially a radio station owner who won a seat in the TX Legislature. He was very down on Ted Cruz during his senate run, yet now he’s all tea party for him. Insiders who have sat in on Texas legislation sessions saw him work for the opposite side, then when the bill didn’t pass he took credit for blocking it, etc. The term “bait and switch” has been used to describe him. I could go on but you get the drift. No No No to Dan Patrick. I’ll be voting for Dewhurst.
Thank you.

You’re welcome. I’ve been down here since 1985 and I don’t remember that it has ever been quite so nasty. Maybe I’m just paying more attention this year. Be glad when it’s over.
