College Wins US Debate Championship By Repeating the N-Word Over and Over.
The pundit press ^ | May 5, 2014 | Aurelius

On March 24, Towson University won the 2014 Cross Examination Debate Association’s national championship. Towson defeated the University of Oklahoma. What was Towson’s strategy? Inexplicably using the N-word over and over again in an incomprehensible tirade.

Here is an actual excerpt (with profanity redacted). See if you are able to tell what Towson is arguing in favor or against:

They say the n*****s always already qu***, that’s exactly the point! It means the impact is that the that the is the impact term, uh, to the afraid, uh, the, that it is a case term to the affirmative because, we, uh, we’re saying that qu*** bodies are not able to survive the necessarily means of the body. Uh, uh, the n***** is not able to survive.

Have no idea what the person was arguing? Here, maybe another real excerpt will help you:

Uh, man’s sole “jabringing” object disfigure religion trauma and nubs, uh, the, inside the trauma of representation that turns into the black child devouring and identifying with the stories and into the white culture brought up, uh, de de de de de, dink, and add subjectively like a white man, the black man!

Again, this is a national championship. The organization that holds the debate was founded over 40 years ago and has held national debate tournaments for decades.

That’s pretty much what happened. If the other team has no rebuttal, then they basically forfeit. Next year the win will go to the team that utters noises while pulling down their pants to take a dump. Though I guess that’s what the Towson team did this year, without the physical demonstration.

It's pure liberal elitist academia washing out a traditional and actually useful skill.

True debate is constructing a sound, reasonable and logical argument from the facts and circumstances, and then making a convincing presentation to sway others with reason and persuasion.

That is everything the left is not. So they turned it into a "poetry slam" contest, where they judge the effort on its artistic value rather than reasonableness or persuasiveness.

Its like if you took a football game and replaced the referees with judges from an ice skating competition who would assign points for style, composition and artistic impression rather than actually making touchdowns.

If the title of their “debate” was “Why the remnant of normal American needs to start buying gold, silver and ammo immediately” I would also declare them the hands down winner.

The only redeeming thing in that debate was that they exercised their first amendment right of free speech to use an actual word “Nigger” without being struck by lightening or a sink hole opening up and swallowing them.

Otherwise...... what a load of CRAP! Speed talking so that you couldn’t understand most of the crap they were spewing.

So they won an award for demonstrating how ignorant and incomprehensible they can be? How proud their parents must be.

We are finished as a country.

This is not a debate. This is pure nonsense jibba-jabba. It is delivered with a hyperventilating, staccato, content-free case of verbal diarrhea with utterly no meaning whatsoever.

I would NEVER hire ANYONE who even PARTICIPATED in this insane 'competition'.

I remember when I was in high school back in the sixties watching a mock debate between some of the people on the school debate team. The arguments were logical and presented so that the audience (we students) could follow and understand. I never attended any debates when I was in college.

I've read the "logic" behind the modern system as to present as many facts as possible to support their "argument" such as it is. But I would love to see these modern debaters and all the people involved in the modern debate system give a sample to average Americans to view on tv. I doubt they'd find many backers for their system. While I'm sure the majority of the students involved in the modern debate system are bright kids, I can't see how learning this weird speed-talking style will help them in the future. Imagine some political candidate trying to talk that way in front of an audience.

And you’re right....the black “debaters” style was more of a performance rather than an academic exercise. They made a farce out of the whole thing. Both black teams. I watched parts of their debate, and was further astonished when the audience applauded them when they finished. I wonder if they were applauding a performance or a debate, or were they just happy they finished with their gobbledygook?

I’d bet good money that the speaker of this Ebonics gibberish was a black student. How else could one get away with using that word in public?

"TU Debate Team becomes first black female pair to win national championship"

Pair ... of WHAT?

I listened to part of the rants; both were panting, breathless, and full of "uh ... uh ..." (all staccato, true, if that's where points were earned).

This is nothing for anyone to be proud of. What did the Vandy and Florida teams have to do to lose to losers?

Hacking Traditional College Debate's White Privilege (gag) Problem -- more insight into the competition. It raises interesting points (i.e., traditional debaters have considered setting up an alternative "traditional only" debate, but when it was found that it was largely WHITE, there were howls of protest. This from those who propose to set up their "own" black basketball league.

"Critics of the new approach allege that students don’t necessarily have to develop high-level research skills or marshal evidence from published scholarship. They also might not need to have the intellectual acuity required for arguing both sides of a resolution. These skills—together with a non-confrontational presentation style—are considered crucial for success in fields like law and business."

As you said, common core.

Nope. Read the headline, posted and then lost interest. Apathy gets a hold of me now and again when these types of stories surface.

Stories like these are very demoralizing to normal people. You can do everything right, be a responsible citizen, raise your kids with values and teach them to delay gratification for the big picture, and yet, the best and most selfless of us swim against the inexorable tide of evil, decadence and de-evolution that’s washing over our civilization. It’s not the mental midgets on stage or the gibberish that disturbs-it’s the frightening fact that people can no longer distinguish between reason and insanity. This stuff hits you in the mind and it’s paralyzing. What’s the plan when society as a whole goes insane?

“This has to be a hoax.”..

Sadly no, “dat aint’ no joke!”..

How in the hell could you debate that dribble? First, you have to understand the point they are making and then come up with your response. Unfortunately, like most of us here we would be speechless.

They were awarded “first place” for that? Pretty much tells us what our future leaders will be like and I sure as hell hope I’m no longer here to witness it.
