Laura Ingraham fights ‘whining’ Grover Norquist

Radio host Laura Ingraham and Americans for Tax Reform president Grover Norquist engaged in a heated exchange on immigration reform on Ingraham’s show Tuesday.

At one point, Ingraham, a Fox News contributor, accused anti-tax advocate Norquist of “whining” over the discussion on the show. After Ingraham said allowing more immigrant workers to come into the U.S. would be “obscene to the American experience,” Norquist cut in.

If illegals get a work permit that is an enticement.

Norquist is out selling the Bracero program. Jeff Denham's district is 40% Hispanic. Are the Mexican Nationals and illegals too lazy to pick Asparagus?

For his part, Norquist said he was in favor of some elements of immigration reform, saying it would benefit the agriculture industry and would help grow the economy.

Grover is lying on both counts.

Illegals in agriculture account for 2% of those here, and there is NO evidence that having more helps grow the economy.

On the other hand, there is plenty of evidence that they COST taxpayers billions.

Grover and ALL other amnesty boosters are lying because they know damn well amnesty will benefit only two classes of individuals - corporatists and politicians. The rest of us get screwed.

I’m surprised Norquist didn’t scream “Allahu Akbar!” and try to behead Ingraham.

“illegals too lazy to pick Asparagus? “

I’ll pick all the Asparagus I can find! Wonderful raw in salads, or for snacking. Abdo-Lutely great stir fried! My Welsh Mom used to cook it until it was gray, and then put cheese sauce on it! I hated it! Of course the Welsh cook everything until it’s gray/ Meat? Veggies? Didn’t make any difference! It had to be gray!

I’d rather plant and harvest it myself. It’s hard to grow, and it’s very expensive.

And, the other end of the skill spectrum, YET ANOTHER study shows that we have PLENTY of STEM jobs. The line that the US is facing a shortage of high-tech talent is an absolute lie perpetrated by RINOs. What they mean to say is that there is a shortage of high-tech talent that is willing to work like rented mules and get paid crap.

Norquist is a Saudi camel jockey shill. I couldn’t care less what he thinks about taxes. His treason in flooding us with foreigners who are utterly disconnected from the values of our republic, totally negates ANY good his tax policy might do.

Rand Paul's immigration speech
...The Republican Party must embrace more legal immigration.

Unfortunately, like many of the major debates in Washington, immigration has become a stalemate-where both sides are imprisoned by their own rhetoric or attachment to sacred cows that prevent the possibility of a balanced solution.

Immigration Reform will not occur until Conservative Republicans, like myself, become part of the solution. I am here today to begin that conversation.

Let's start that conversation by acknowledging we aren't going to deport 12 million illegal immigrants.

If you wish to work, if you wish to live and work in America, then we will find a place for you...

This is where prudence, compassion and thrift all point us toward the same goal: bringing these workers out of the shadows and into being taxpaying members of society.

Imagine 12 million people who are already here coming out of the shadows to become new taxpayers.12 million more people assimilating into society. 12 million more people being productive contributors.

Rand Paul calls on conservatives to embrace immigration reform
Latinos, should be a natural constituency for the party, Paul argued, but "Republicans have pushed them away with harsh rhetoric over immigration." ...he would create a bipartisan panel to determine how many visas should be granted for workers already in the United States and those who might follow... [and the buried lead] "Imagine 12 million people who are already here coming out of the shadows to become new taxpayers...

Every time I mention to the old man how much I really like Laura (or Michelle, or Andrea), he says, in his best Triumph the Insult Comic Dog voice, "What are we waiting for? Let's get to it!"
