Many insurers only dipped a toe into the Affordable Care Acts online marketplaces for their first year.
Cigna, one of the countrys largest insurers, offered 2014 plans to individuals in fewer than half a dozen states. Humana is only in a little more than a dozen states. The biggest health insurer, UnitedHealthcare, didnt offer any policies through the federally run online portal and only a few elsewhere.
The result: substantially higher premiums than otherwise would have been the case, according to a new paper.

the success is the govt takeover anddegrqdation of the us hcare system. it makes it possible to kill off the middle class by giving them sh1t hcare and death panels.
I agree with the quote, and nearly used the term ‘corporatism’ in my post! I feel, however, ‘fascism’ provides a better, more necesssary sting.

Well, it IS actually very similar to the devil’s bargain that German businesses made with the Nazi’s in the 30’s. Didn’t go all that well long-term, though.
