U.S. Rep. Jack Kingston and former Dollar General CEO David Perdue have advanced to a Republican runoff in Georgia's hotly contested Senate race, Perdue had more than 30 percent of the vote to Kingston's nearly 26 percent.

Kingston drawing on his establishment support and the backing of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce to fight off the "outsider" campaign of Perdue, the cousin of former Gov. Sonny Perdue. Neither has the support of the state's tea party crowd, which saw its best hope fade with former Secretary of State Karen Handel.

Kingston drawing on his establishment support and the backing of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.... __________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Kingston, the establishment candidate, was endorsed by Sean Hannity. Hannity was singing Kingston's praises on the radio today while the polls were still open for 4 more hours. It was the first time I've listened to the little RINO lover in months and months. (I think Hannity is in love with Karl Rove.) I've gotten to where I can't stand Sean Hannity.

Hannity is a hack. Looks like Georgia will continue to be represented by rubes. They might as well have just kept Taxby Chambliss. Pathetic.

Kingston is better on immigration than the current ones. Isaakson needs to block amnesty if he wants to win his primary in 2016.

He told Laura Ingraham that when he is in DC they ask him about climate change. When he is in GA they ask him about immigration.

If Kingston defeats the real enemy, his democrat opponent in general, I will say it is a good result.

The pundits are saying republicans are in a strong position for November elections based on who won the primaries. So that is a good consolation if it comes true. It certainly beats the democrats wining again.

No. Sean Hannity has known Kingston for 25 years and that is why he endorsed him. They are friends. Goodness and you said you listened to the radio? I doubt it.

It will be interesting. Will Donahue and the Chamber of Commerce use the amnesty issue to bash Perdue for the 2006 group he was involved in that lobbied for amnesty?

Jack Kingston was mentioning this on Ingraham’s show.

Kingston will be a definite improvement on Saxby Chambliss.

Perdue would, I suspect, be even worse than Chambliss.

From Monday:

What Karen Handel is Up Against Tomorrow

We’ve proven in prior races with states like Texas and Nebraska that big money doesn’t always dictate the future of our country.  This of course was proven with conservative victories like Ted Cruz’s and others like Deb Fischer’s.

Well, another great conservative is up to bat tomorrow and as Dave Catanese explains, she’s up against a bitter establishment and some big money:

Via US News:

Georgia GOP Senate candidate Karen Handel may be riding a wave of late momentum, but if she falls short in Tuesday’s primary, it’ll largely be due to a lack of money.

The former secretary of state and gubernatorial hopeful is being vastly outspent on the airwaves in the final days ahead of the election. A disparity so gaping that some Republican strategists believe it will likely sink her hopes, if not on Tuesday, then ultimately in the expected July runoff which will require millions more.

Of the $8 million in television advertising being spent on the Georgia Senate race in the final six days before the primary, Handel’s campaign accounts for just $19,000 of the total, according to a GOP source tracking the final flight of commercials from both sides. A Handel spokesman said their campaign’s spending was “more than that” but didn’t dispute the massive cash gap.

Yes you read that correctly.  For some reason, a big money success like Perdue and/or Kingston so desperately want to be in the Senate, they’re willing to spend mammoth amounts of cash to get there.  Karen on the other hand has been traveling by bus all over Georgia meeting voters, listening to their concerns, and letting them know that they can count on her once she gets to D.C.

Handel is the real deal.  She’s the real deal in this race as she was years back when she ran for Governor.  But, as Cantanese further explains, that pesky establishment has not quite forgotten it and remains bitter to this day.

"Don’t piss off Nathan Deal [Handel's past gubernatorial opponent]. I think he’s dried up the money. I think he makes calls. I think he wields a big stick down here. I think his political operatives are vindictive. Probably not publicly, but I think they would work against her in a runoff. I think they’d be aggressive,” says the Washington-based source who has been in the state.

The Atlanta-based GOPer adds, “Team Deal really doesn’t like Karen. If she makes the runoff, I expect Gov. Deal will publicly engage for the opponent.”

Now, this of course has those at the Daily Beast already claiming a Tea Party flop in Georgia tomorrow.  But when you’re fighting powerful and wealthy establishments on both sides of the aisle, the entire process is important, not just the final tally.  What’s clear is that Handel made such a commonsense and no nonsense impression, that the entire establishment is still holding a grudge. That’s a good thing.

And while the establishment and their pals in the media are trying to distract with a trumped up feud between Karl Rove and Hillary Clinton — or trying to distract us with why Marco Rubio won’t tell us if he’s ever smoked pot or not, the rest of us are focused on the real importance of cleaning up corruption in D.C. and we will always be there to serve as a thorn in the side of the establishment who want nothing more than for us to go back to the days where everyone ignored crony capitalism and backroom deals.

Until/unless insurgent candidates develop effective fundraising networks, they're going to continue to get overwhelmed by oceans of establishment cash.

Kingston is better on immigration than the current ones.

So he won't be beholden to the US Chamber of Commerce, which paid for his ads and calls for " an earned lawful status for the undocumented with no future bar to citizenship"?

Oh does it? They don’t come any sorrier than Mitch McConnell and Lindsey Graham and a whole lot of other RINOs and GOP Establishment boys who hate the Tea Party and true Conservatives. If my wife was a whore, I’d get rid of her. But, we keep people like Mitch McConnell around even though we know he’s screwing the Democrats in bed and throwing us a kiss once in awhile; while we sit and politically self stimulate hoping for better days ahead.

Jack Kingston sounds way better on immigration than at least half the GOP Senators. He also points out how the 9th circuit is not going to enforce any laws. They are taking quotes from Obama and turning them into law.

http://www.taxpayer.net/media-center/article/appropriator-background-challenges-kingston-in-senate-primary

Jack Kingston’s 20-year career in the U.S. House has been shaped by his work on the powerful Appropriations Committee, where he has risen to a significant perch.

But as Kingston, of Savannah, attempts to navigate a wide-open Republican primary for Senate he must reckon with the tricky politics of being an appropriator at a time when an anti-spending tide has turned them from Santa Claus to Scrooge.

I dont think so. The Chamber wanted someone who wouldnt rock the boat. If they get another Mike Enzi they will be content.

Also Gingrey and Perdue made gaffes.

I heard him say they’ve known each other for 25 years and they’re friends. But, that does not give him the right to give the Establishment RINO 3 minutes of a free air-time campaign speech after he said: “I don’t endorse in Primaries.” If I’ve known someone for 25 years and find out they’re a child molester, I don’t feel loyal to them anymore and sure as hell will not sing their praises. But then, you are one of the weird ones on this website. Just kiss off. The Democrat Underground is probably missing you about now.

I consider myself a Tea Party conservative, but I am no fan of Karen Handel - a perpetual candidate with no record of accomplishment in the real world that funds her government and non-profit hangouts. I am glad the Georgia GOP avoided the trap of identity politics.

McConnell said in his victory speech today his top priority is repeal of Obamacare. I don’t think his democrat opponent in general will do that. So I am not ecstatic he won today, but looking forward to general election now. We shall see if the senator is a man of his words.

Appalling. A 30-year career establishment politician RINO vs. a liberal RINO fraud riding on his last name. No good choice for Conservatives.

It's Sean's show, which gives him every right to invite whomever he chooses.
