KYIV, May 20 /Ukrinform/. Russian troops will be removed from training bases near the Ukrainian border "within a few days", Russia's Deputy Defence Minister Anatoliy Antonov told BBC in an interview.
Antonov also said he was disappointed by NATO's decision to boycott an international security conference being held in Moscow. "It's better when our defence ministers sit at the same table," Antonov said.
As Ukrinform reported on Monday, the Kremlin press office said the Russian president gave the command to return the troops which were involved in exercises in Rostov, Belgorod and Bryansk regions to their permanent bases. As of yesterday, NATO and the U.S. did not confirm the withdrawal of Russian troops.
What’s interesting is that the rate of his repeated orders to remove his troops from off the border is increasing in frequency!
Of course he does... is....
What is communism?..... beneficial... or something.... well duuuugh....
So is he going to move them deep inside ukraine? That would be moving them from borders.
Saying you are going to do it, and actually doing it, are two totally different things, and probably shall not proceed.
The Russians are still Russians, regardless of what kind of socioeconomic system they may have, or the ideology that they employ.
As a geopolitical move, Russia needs wide access to the warm-water ports on the Black Sea and by flexing only a little muscle, they have it.
Mission accomplished. On to the new mission....
Washington (CNN) — The United States has seen the first preliminary signs that Russian forces may be preparing to move away from Ukraine’s eastern border, a U.S. defense official told CNN on Wednesday.
