A day after claiming the president learned from TV news reports of accusations that as many as 40 veterans died while waiting for treatment at a Phoenix VA hospital, White House press secretary Jay Carney said the burgeoning scandal is “not a new issue” to Mr. Obama.
“The president, as we all know, has been talking about the issues and challenges facing VA since he was a candidate. And it was precisely those problems that had been identified and discussed in 2006, 2007 and 2008 that he spoke about as a candidate and that led him to commit to increased resources,” Mr. Carney told reporters. “So no, this is not a new issue to the president. That’s why he has been focused on it since he’s been president.”

He’ll probably promote him. That’s what this administration does for the incompetent and for those who fall on their swords protecting the king.

0bama announces a time figuring that the television audience will tune it . . . then he purposely arrives so late that most of the viewers have lost interest and gone on to something else. Then he speaks to a handful of the original number. Easier to deny he said something if all they have is tape . . . didn’t happen. He seems to get away with that all the time.

obozo will be late for sure. obozo has to read Free Republic so he knows what to say before coming out to spread his lies. obozo thinks spreading his lies will make him sound more believable by reading Free Republic.
