Whenever zippy uses investigation, that's code for: He isn't going to do anything about it. Best example off hand is Benghazi. He promised an "investigation" of that act of war.

The reason is that Obama doesn't want the spectacle of a confirmation hearing for his replacement that will expose all the dirty deeds of the VA during the upcoming mid-term elections.
Democrats would get clobbered if a VA nominee hearing were going on during the mid-terms.

It a regulation problem. They have been told to place certain people on permanent hold waiting for appts
Bush was not a great potus and the va has always had flaws but lets not ascribe this obamadontcare attitude onto them

We know Bush’s team alerted 0dumbo’s team during the transition
So did they flat out say wait times were being manipulated? since they haven’t said what was in the report we don’t know.
MUCH of the current problem is actually due to Clinton opening up VA care to anyone who served, even as few as 2 years but he did not increase the number of medical care team.
This is ramping up now as so many more come back and get out, tie this to the high unemployment rate and it is easy to see the issue
NONE of that excuses what is going on

As big a supporter of Bush as I am does not mean I can’t acknowledge he is not perfect. There were many problems uncovered during Bush years.Remember the horror at Walter reed? Remember the patients dying at the Dallas Va? etc
The scheduling problem is just one of many.
Unlike that POS 0dumbo though Bush did not have to hear it on the news. He tried to fix what he could.
I attended a press conference by wounded warriors recuperating at Walter Reed who told the press it was not nearly as bad as portrayed in the media.

but the fact is that facility was not equipped for the number of injured it was getting as it was already scheduled to close
I was there and the conditions were not that great

Obama is mentally ill. The easiest thing in the world to deal with this would be for him to fire Shinseki. But, he just can’t do it. That would be admitting that there’s been a mistake, and he can’t do that. That’s mental illness. Reid and Pelosi and Schumer are getting ready to take that long, sad midnight walk to the back door of the White House where they tell Obama he’s sick and needs to resign.
Actually, the president has great latitude to fire federal employees. Remember when President Reagan fired every single federal aircraft controller when he warned them not to strike? Strike they did and fired they were! Sure they can try in court to overturn the firing but in the meantime, they are fired and out of the bureaucracy.
Reagan had guts AND the Air Traffic controllers in mass clearly violated their contract.
believe me it is nearly impossible to fire a federal employee.
yes 0dumbo could fire shineksi but at this point I don’t know if that is the smartest.
I HOPE there is so much pressure Shinseki buckles down and fires all those under him who went along with the appointment fraud scheme
