Today, White House Press Secretary Jay Carney sought to partially walk back his statement yesterday in which he said President Obama learned about the growing scandal at the Veterans Administration by watching a report on the topic on CNN. After realizing just how bad that sounded, Carney returned to the daily briefing with the White House press corps today to say that his statement was being misinterpreted. According to Carney, what he really meant to say was that the president had only heard of the specific allegations about misconduct at VA hospitals by watching television. But, he insisted, the president was aware of problems at the VA, as proved by statements he had made during his 2008 presidential campaign when he promised to fix the agency.
Which is to say that, yes, Barack Obama had heard of the VA and had some vague intention to improve it as part of an effort to pose as someone who cares about our nations veterans. But between his arrival in the Oval Office and his subsequent appointment of retired Army General Eric Shinseki to head the VA in 2009 and the moment when he stumbled into awareness about the scandal during the course of spending some quality time with his remote control, he hadnt given the topic much, if any, thought.

Last paragraph of the article:
“The lack of confidence in government is a natural response to events like the VA scandal, but it is compounded by a presidential response that makes it clear that Obama doesnt pay much attention to the issues he raised in his own campaigns and that he is slow to act even after learning about such disasters on television. This scandal makes it clear, if it hadnt already been so, that the Obama administration has run out of steam, ideas, or even a willingness to pretend that it cares about public opinion. Its going to be a long slog until January 2017.”
If he gets all his news from TV, then it is probably CNN ... so no wonder we are becoming a banana republic.
“I like to watch TV.”
He just learned that he can’t even pitch a baseball while watching TV. Think that’ll stop him from pitching other stuff though? Not bloody likely. Kinda odd that he and billy boy clinton are both lefties in sports and politics huh?
So the Presidents original position in the scandal of Veterans dying because of a conspiracy to improperly withhold medical care they were entitled to at Veterans Hospitals was that he heard it first on TV with CNN
Now he has changed his story to say that he really was aware of the withholding of care killing Vets all along but that he was not really aware of the problems until he heard about it on TV.
I would wager that Carney has two very important people on retainer....
A priest to confess his lying ways and a chiropractor because he has to twist himself into s pretzel everyday to cover for this regime.

Carney sneers when he is about to lie!
Although i don’t watch either show, I missed the finals of Dancing With the Stars and American Idol - guess I should call the Pres and ask him who won
When a President Learns Everything on TV
Then it’s time to get a real leader and president!
Obama can then go on Dancing with the Stars!
No but he can catch from Reggie while watching Modern Family or some other queer infusing show.
Our ‘low-information’ President. Pray for America.
Obama is a reader of campaign speeches. He doesn't write them, he doesn't understand them, he doesn't care about them.
It is just something you recite to get elected to the most powerful position on earth. And that is his only interest.
This is but a pattern of "ignorance" by the "smartest guy in the room "
