House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi on Wednesday named the five Democrats who will participate in the select committee established by House Speaker John Boehner to investigate the 2012 terrorist attack on the U.S. mission in Benghazi, Libya. Here they are:
* Elijah Cummings, Ranking Member on the House Oversight Committee
* Adam Smith, Ranking Member on the House Armed Services Committee
* Adam Schiff, a member of the Appropriations Committee who vehemently opposed the creation of the panel
* Linda Sanchez, a member of the Ways and Means Committee
* Tammy Duckworth, a member of the Armed Services Committee
A senior Democratic aide had said earlier in the day that Pelosi was "leaning toward" participating in the committee. Some Democrats suggested the party should boycott the committee entirely while others offered a Plan C — send only one member, which would allow for Democrats to both signal their disapproval of the panel while also maintaining their ability to question witnesses and get access to reports.

I think we can expect much more crap like this to keep attention off the real 2014/2016 issues — Obamacare and Benghazi which still remain at the top of the list for the GOP. All these criminals can do is throw out “red herrings” to confuse and obfuscate. And sprinkle that generously with loads of lies.....Democrat strategy, 2016.

Obviously, the “boycott” media strategy failed.
I would have much preferred the boycott than have scum obstructing the proceedings. The chances of getting to the real facts just went down about 75%.

Trey Gowdy will not allow the crap that milquetoast D. Issa allows. If Cummings goes off point and politicizes anything, Trey will pull the mike and not let the media dictate the course of the investigation. Same goes for the other members, some whom are there for show.
I get to claim the utterly useless Tammy Duckworth, she is MY congresscritter and a freakin piece of work.

How many times did they have to redraw the district map so Duckworth could win an election?
ALL the rats will serve as Obama's firewall, on any and all committees that investigate anything.
My expectation is that the Dems will obstruct outrageously, then Gowdy will reel them in. This will allow the Dems to generate a pro-wrestling style “controversy” that the media will tout ad nauseum while ignoring the real issues.
The Dems will exploit their insider knowledge of the investigation to tip off and shape the media ahead of events. They, and their committee staff, will tip off witnesses about things that have come out during depo’s, and also act as “minders” to assure witnesses are afraid to divulge anything they might “regret” later — sort of like having Jimmy Hoffa sit by a witness testifying about union/mob corruption.
Cummings and Sanchez are known scumbags. I am not familiar with Pelosi’s other picks (but they are all from Dem-controlled states). What do you mean by “some are there for show”? I am really curious whether all five are Hillary-worshippers, or if some are there to protect other Dem factions. The stakes for Hillary are sky-high. If Gowdy can unearth the truth despite what will be coming at him, his face belongs on Mt. Rushmore.

Here’s what I wonder; why was she tapped for this, a first term congresswoman? Could it be to take any eyes off her regarding the VA disaster, she was heavily involved with them here in IL. Seems she was always a rat, I need to go research what she did with/for them.
All in districts safe enough they could be caught sexually abusing little children and still win re-election.
