$1 Million Bounty to Be Offered for ‘Smoking Gun’ in IRS Targeting Scandal
The Blaze ^ | May 21, 2014 | Sara Carter

Posted on 05/21/2014 6:27:56 PM PDT by Mariner

A nonprofit group hopes to award a $1 million bounty to anyone who can provide “smoking gun” evidence to implicate IRS leadership or members of the Obama administration who purposefully targeted conservative and tea party-affiliated groups, TheBlaze has learned.

Gregg Phillips, the managing director for The Voters Trust, a political nonprofit 501 (c)(4) which was established to identify and mobilize Americans, told TheBlaze on Wednesday “that this is the people’s bounty to seek the truth.”

Catherine Engelbrecht, president of the nonprofit group True the Vote, will be officially announcing the bounty Wednesday night on Megyn Kelly’s Fox News show, “The Kelly File” at 9 p.m. ET.

To qualify for the bounty, the person needs to provide “relevant evidence including emails, eye-witness accounts, or testimony of political targeting of Americans by the IRS or the Obama administration that has not previously been reported,” according to an official press release from the group obtained by TheBlaze.

One million or their government taxpayer job where they get bonuses for doing nothing and can be late filing taxes. How much do IRS brown shirts make anyway? Hell I would take that million. But on the other hand the IRS brown shirts would come after whoever it is, treat him or her like a traitor and do everything they could to steal that million in taxes and fines and whatever other BS they could come up with.

Yeah, but between the potential for Whistle Blower lawsuits, $1mil and the opportunity to speak on the networks for cash...not to mention going down in history as a genuinely good guy, SOMEBODY who knows something big is going to come forward.

Or, the DOJ will come forward and announce they will prosecute anyone who comes forward since they didn't come forward and report it when they first became aware.

Conspiracy after the fact and failure to report a felony.

Relatively small bounty compared to the settlements that some whistleblowers have been awarded for ratting on their employers for wrong doing.

I would look at the sql queries against the NSA phone records, say a year of so, before the election. See if there are any matches to Tea Party numbers. That list could have been passed to the IRS. They send out a few letters and we have conservatives calling their tax attorneys instead of organizing political rallies.

"That list could have been passed to the IRS"

We already know the donor lists were provided by the respective organizations, and that everyone who took a deduction for their donation to these groups...was targeted by IRS for audit at 10x the rate of any other taxpayer.

That's in the Congressional record and the information provided by the IRS themselves.

We just need to know who was ordering these felonious acts...hard evidence.

This seems like a trap, honestly. Why should Soros and the IRS spend millions or billions of dollars looking for “subversives” when this nonprofit group gets the “subversives” to reveal themselves? The people who show up to make these claims will either be set up or be Soros plants. If an “interview” appears on NBC/CBS/ABC/CNN or one of their affiliates, carefully monitor the interviews, so that we can see how scripted the conversations are.

Federal employee “whistleblowers” can earn financial rewards as I understand it. I find it hard to believe that being rewarded for exposing corruption and illegalities would be punished—I know, with the Obama/Holder/Hillary regime anything is possible.

SOUND good, right?

Eh...and WHO will judge whether the thing IS a smoking gun?

My experience is that when evidence stacks up pretty high, VERY many libs believe, “Objective reality is what I SAY that it is....reality is in my MIND...”

I read once this is “Solipism” —the idea that the whole universe is simply inside of the thinker.

I really, really don’t think this will end the way that many here would prefer, in fact what is more likely is that they’ll say:

“You remember that even those crazy conservatives came up with that $1 million smoking gun reward, and NO ONE can honestly collect on it..!!”

One spoof academic not so long ago made up a fake paper claiming, “gravity is an artificial social construct” —and the paper was published and won accolades...!

And it was all a joke but the left could not tell.

In my opinion, this IS the story of the decade. IRS utilized to intimidate and suppress free speech of conservatives in an effort to ALTER an American election.

Whether it was just agents of the IRS, Congressman, White house aides or Obozo himself....this is criminal.

Never again should the IRS be allowed to intimidate American citizens. Stand up representatives and stop this un-American sort of activity. Someone stand up and fight damn it!
