The Vaticans Secretary of State made a dramatic revelation ahead of Pope Franciss visit to Israel next Sunday and Monday, declaring that the pope will talk about the Palestinian peoples right to have a homeland, sovereign and independent.
Cardinal Pietro Parolin holds a role in the Vatican City State, located in the Italian capital of Rome, equivalent to that of a prime minister.
When asked what the pope particularly intends to talk about during the visit, Parolin revealed he would talk about on the one hand, Israels right to exist in peace and security within internationally recognized boundaries. On the other side, the pope would talk about the Palestinian peoples right to have a homeland, sovereign and independent, the right to move around freely, the right to live in dignity, according to Parolin.
In fact, the Vatican recognized the State of Palestine in 2012 amid the United Nations (UN) vote to confer Palestine non-member observer state status, a status until then only held by the Vatican.

Good grief, there is a Palistine, called Jordan!
Sit down and shut up Frank. People are starting to think you’re stupid.
Someone from Argentina instructing another country how to engage in politics. Almost as bad as a president that never worked a day in his life telling us which industries and jobs are good for us.
“... the right to move around freely, the right to live in dignity...”
which may include:
.......the right to make and use molotov cocktails blow up buses...use their kids as human shields...and kill jews
Frank gets all his ideas from the New York Slimes.
Since the Pope is supposedly the Vicar of Christ,
and the only title Christ ever had on earth was “King of the Jews”,
it might behoove his Vicar to stick up for his people
once in awhile.
Which means, among other things, not enabling their enemies.
People still buy that, do they. Not even Transjordan was called “Palestine” back before Israel was established. None of the Arabs that transformed themselves into “Palestinians” were ever worried about living in Transjordan/Jordan but taking the former Southern Syria back over.
That is why I say what I say, that Jordan is the real Palestine, which includes a flag that looks pretty much like the Palestine flag.
Pope Francis’s priority should be to support the land of the Holy Bible.
Only way this makes sense to me is if the Vatican never recognized the state of Jordan (25 May 1946).
Well, it’s about time!
Is it too soon for the Antichrist comparisons? I don’t think so.
Yet that “southern Syria” has been rebuilt into a sucessful independent nation not just because of hard work, but also of tourism money coming from vacations/pilgrimages.
If they are so full of great, meaningful and helpful advice, they should volunteer Vatican city. It’s already built.
Then they can meaningfully contribute to the safety issues of Israelis.
The idiots want to side with the muslim mouthpieces who will continue to pester Israel irrespective of what is given to the raiding, raping, thieving backwards muslim lowlifes.
So let it be written, so let it be done. /sarc
Bingo. He is an idiot.
Pope Frank is a typical progressive - he wants to be real nice to everyone. But, that is not how God works. God loves us all, but he calls us to His Truth and says that we are accountable. Catholics are so confused by the insane church traditions that have been sold to them as Gospel, that they have no real doctrine anymore.
Beat me to it.
Guess the pope needs to brush up on end times prophecy.
There were never a “PALESTINIAN PEOPLE”. This was created out of whole cloth by the ARAB LEAGUE, after the Israeli victory in the 1967 war. Let’s look at this with eyes wide open, shall we? Before the Israeli victory in the 1967 war, there was the GAZA STRIP (belonging to Egypt, that means every one living in the GAZA strip were EGYPTIANS, Not “PALESTINIANS”). The West Bank (belonged to Jordan, that means that every one living there were JORDANIANS, Not “PALESTINIANS”) And there was the GOLAN HEIGHTS(belonging to SYRIA, that means that every one living there were SYRIANS not “PALESTINIANS”). Every one of these people in Europe and the United States that now claim that there has to be a “PALESTINIAN STATE” is either sucking up to the MUSLIMS or they are completely ignorant of history
As time goes on, the ineptitude of this individual’s selection to fill the shoes of St. Peter becomes increasingly manifest.
It is no longer possible to correct this guy’s reputation by reparcing his conversations.
Is it to late to disinvite him?
and if Israel says no, the church will eventually turn against Israel as Revelation suggests
Say What? lol
Now you understand where I come from, that I call it Jordan.
I'm absolutely sure he is aware that shalom b'SHEM Yah'shua HaMashiach
he is "Peter the Roman"
‘The Last Pope’ comes to mind.
I was about to post, “Hail Petrus Romanus! Or Hail Hydra!” or something like that.
Well, he is determined to ‘Communize” the church, destroy borders and a bunch of other things so far that fly in the face of his predicessors. He may well be the last, AC references aside. He may be Pope to an empty church.
Bingo, we have a winner.
Who is he to demand anything?
Ok ok.....now you got me. Yes, Peter the Roman was Malachy’s prediction...but Francis Peter the Roman?
Didn’t think we made this distinction yet? In fact, there were folks saying that his sec.of state(Archbishop Pietro Parolin of Italy) was truly Peter the Roman. What’chu know I don’t know. lol
Stick to Religion Cuz!
Pope Peron the first.
There already is Sovereign Palestine, it’s called “Jordan.”
“Frank gets all his ideas from the New York Slimes”
Frank gets all his ideas from Jesuits in Argentina; basically, Marxists with bibles.
Golan Heights didn’t “belong” to Syria. It got bounced between the French and British mandates until about 1944, and it was always contested after Israel got its independence.
But it still isn’t.
A prophecy right out of the Good Book.
We all know what happens to those who mess with God’s land for His people. Sooner or later it will be painful.
Frankie is literally giving God the finger.
This is just legalistic nonsense. Whatever you call them, the Arab population of the former UN mandate known as Palestine have the same right to self-determination as the Jewish population. It is ofter forgotten that this was one of the points of the UN partition plan. Either Israel should annex the area and grant full and equal citizenship (with no distinction between Jews and non-Jews) to its inhabitants or let the Arabs form their own state. You pick.
The Arabs could always form their own state in the current territories, the issue is they want Jerusalem.
Annexing and granting them citizenship is suicide
The “right to self-determination” that the Arabs of that area have been exercising since 1947 is the utter destruction of the Jewish state and having an Islamic state “from the river to the sea”. Are you advocating that too? It seems that you don’t understand what’s going on therethe Arabs rejected the “partition plan” and continue to reject it to this day, desiring all of the land in question.
They only want it because Abraham was promised all of it for HIS DESCENDENTS..the Israelites, FOREVER!
No, that’s not the sole issue. They want not only all of Jerusalem, but the entire land “from the river (Jordan) to the (Mediterranean) Sea”.
Gingerbread wrote... "There were never a PALESTINIAN PEOPLE. This was created out of whole cloth by the ARAB LEAGUE, after the Israeli victory in the 1967 war.

Or BOTH! I am sick of hearing the incessant whining about the poor "Palestinians". In fact they are a complete fraud just like gore-bull warming.
The eastern half of the city still has an Arab population. But the issue is more than just Jerusalem. There is the question of the settlements that Israel wants to keep and would break up any contiguous Arab territory, Israel also wants to maintain underground water rights, and the Jordan Valley. The latter would deprive the Arab state from having a non-Israeli international border. On the Palestinian side there is their refusal to give up on the return of the refugees.
Annexing and granting them citizenship is suicide
As a Jewish state, granted. Either choice is unpalatable. The problem started with unrealistic expectations of the founders of Israel. At the time of the partition the Jews only comprised around 30% of the population yet were to be given half of the land. They ended up with 70% of the land after independence. Additionally, the partition was imposed on the Arabs without negotiations and without their consent. Thus conflict was inevitable. While am truly not any fan of the Arabs, there can be no peace until the Jews recognize that the Arab population of the territory have the same rights as they do. Israel needs to face the reality and make some hard choices. I do not envy them and of the two choices, annexation or partition, I do not know which is better.
