One thing I think is incredibly powerful in influencing change is DRUDGE because he’s got so many CONSERVATIVE eyeballs who click on a story and then they make logical & hard-hitting comments on stories at hundreds of websites a day.

The SHEEPLE read the article and then they see some Drudge-directed posts in the comments section of the article exposing untruths and the Sheeple are able to see the truth.

In this way, Drudge has immense ability to get the conservative message out. I’ve been seeing so many right-on posts on various news stories that I feel certainly must have gotten directed there from Drudge.

Keep up the good work Drudge!!

Ditto for Freerepublic, but there are not nearly as many eyeballs here as on Drudge.

“I really don’t know how we can fix that problem.”

A couple of thoughts:

Migration. Conservatives are spread hither and yon across the continent. Some folks look at the famous red county map and see a sea of red. I see conservatives spread too thin to make a difference. Concentrate in certain states or regions and you have the potential to change things. The free state project is trying to do that in NH.

Changing how you lead your life. For some folks this means going galt or taking other measures that minimize to the extent possible the hold that the the busybodies have over your life.

TLDNR but the word Dunn is looking for is “propaganda.”

As I mentioned earlier, I think this is a fine article. However, the bottom line is that we are the capitalists, but it’s the liberals who own the outlets.

We need something in each of the media outlets. We need a network, we need a cable, we need a search engine, we need a satellite, we need a major national paper, etc., etc.

As those who believe in ownership, property, and competition, we are not involved.

More than anything else, this tells me that WE are the little guys, the average Joes, the middle class, the stuff of neighborhood rallies, petitions, referenda, and all that which is supposed to make the powers that be listen. The “rich” we’re told, are all republicans, the party of rich big business. Only problem is that nobody told that to the rich and to the democrats who are the true party of the rich, the party of those who own everything and have the big bucks. And we carry their water.

Well, that doesn’t work. Ownership is apparently what works day in and day out in influencing the culture.

I’ve been saying for many years that if conservatives were serious about defeating liberalism permanenetly, they would be buying up media, starting conservative journalism schools, and funding endowed faculty positions at these institutions to the best conservative journalists in the business.

Yeah things are becoming decidedly feudal.

I like your thoughts on owning the various media, but in a country of 330 mil that’s not the sort of thing that any of us will be buying soon. That’s one more reason why I’m thinking that migration makes some sense: pick a small state, move people there and dominate. Its a lot easier to be a player in the Wyoming or NH media than it is on a national basis.

I agree. Conservatives don’t have the money. Conservatives are not the rich. We are the middle class. Looking at this freep-a-thon, for example, is a pretty easy way to prove that. Free Republic is the number one conservative discussion site, and even though it’s funded by donations, it doesn’t have a single high roller. I agree with Jim Robinson that it should be independent. And those who drop lots of cash want control. It’s not a matter of principle for them.

Agreed. I thought the author nailed the truth about that "debate" and the collusion between Crowley and the obammy people.

Repubs need to nix anyone the dems suggest as debate moderators or refuse to participate and make sure everyone knows why!!. Start talking about debate moderators now so it won't come as a big surprise the media can try and spin, badly for Repubs of course.

Conservatives need to take serious aim at the media. I think the next Repub Prez should shut the media out, close the WH Press Corp room - just issue statements - and go directly to the people via the "new media" (internet, social media, etc.), cut the media out completely (hey, it's a new age, media. Try and keep up!!). See tag line.....

how about the video of the reporters colluding on ambush questions to make sure the propaganda they wanted to report came out.

how about the journ-o-list of effete media working together to have the same story across all outlets.

“Romney should have excoriated her right then and there for taking sides in the debate.”

Just for that I wish Newt had been the candidate - he would have raked her over the coals.
