Fresh off his resounding Republican primary victory Tuesday night, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell Thursday laid out a broad vision of what the Senate would look like under his control.
Bottom line, McConnell, wouldn’t run the way Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., runs it now, the Kentucky Republican told the center-right American Enterprise Institute.
‘A Senate majority under my leadership would break sharply from the practices of the Reid era in favor of a more free-wheeling approach to problem solving,’ McConnell said in a speech. ‘I would work to restore (the Senate’s) traditional role as a place where good ideas are generated, debated and voted upon. We’d fire up the committee process. We’d work longer days and weeks, using the clock to force consensus.’
And McConnell’s money shot: ‘In marked contrast to the Reid era, we would allow an open amendment process – ensuring senators on both sides a chance to weigh in on legislation and alleviating the frustration that inevitably results when they can’t.’

I hope the Republicans take the Senate and immediately elect a new majority leader. I want it to be Ted Cruz. Along with increasing the House majority and replacing Boehner, it’s the best possible outcome.

Don’t be surprised if the Left helped McConnell in the primaries.
But Susan Collins, who would replace him as Leader, will be even worse for the country.
And Grimes would do no better by Kentucky.
McConnell should be daily taking Rustler Reid to task on the floor of the Senate and in Media Interviews.
He got a lot of help from people like Zuckerberg, can’t prove it, just know it.
If Kentucky Conservatives have any principles, the chances of McConnell being reelected are slim.

If Boehner and McConnell win they will remain in their leadership positions.
Government will continue to grow and Liberty will continue to diminish.
Boehner and McConnells first order of business will be to pass 100% Amnesty for all third world scum.
An equal priority for them will be to relegate Conservatives in Congress to useless committees and to openly wage war on the Tea Party.
