MINNEAPOLIS Fox News anchor Gregg Jarrett has been charged with a misdemeanour following his arrest at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport for allegedly refusing to co-operate with police.

Authorities say the 59-year-old network anchor was arrested about 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Northern Lights Grill in the main terminal. Airport spokesman Patrick Hogan says officers reported Jarrett seemed intoxicated, acted belligerently and refused to follow orders.

I’ve read about 2 dozen media stories about this arrest. Too bad the media doesn’t apply the same dedication to stories about Benghazi, Fast & Furious, the IRS or the VA.

Since when has the lack of a dog kept police from murdering innocent civilians?

Did he ask if they knew who he was? Because that usually works.

If that doesn’t work, politely pointing out that your taxes pay their salary usually does the trick!

I decided I didn’t like Jarrett a little while ago when he made a snide remark about Sarah Palin. He thought he was sooooo superior.

Sad.

On his way to rehab—or just out of rehab?

"Did he ask if they knew who he was? Because that usually works."

Not always. I have a friend who retired from 30 years as a cop in a major city who had a couple of well-known or well-connected people try the "Do you know who I am??" on him after he pulled them over for suspected DUI. He would take his hand mike and pretend to call his unit (but not key the mike so the call actually didn't go out)and say "Better send the car from the Psych Unit out here. I have a fellow who doesn't know who he is". People settled down and got very cooperative after that....

He was not innocent; the story said he didn’t obey police orders.

The only reason we hear about this story is because he is a news media broadcaster. How may ‘unimportant” people who have done the same thing are ever written about, not many I can assure you.

IMO this is just another human begin who seems to have a drinking problem. I’d bet there are some right here on FR that could be the same guy? I am not accusing anyone just pointing out it can happen to anyone.

A FOX news personality. Bet others from other stations have bigger problems and are not seeking help

I’ve read about 2 dozen media stories about this arrest.

How many of those pointed out he had stopped working for Fox while dealing with personal problems ~2 weeks before?

Fox News tells us Gregg Jarrett “requested time off for personal reasons and Fox obliged.” Jarrett has been with FNC since 2002, joining from MSNBC.

At least some of the stories mentioned his leave of absence. What bothers me is that now the “journalists” of the liberal media will probably pick his life apart, looking under every rock for any incidents of bad behavior or any prior hospitalizations, even if they have nothing to do with his mental state. Wish they would apply the same zeal to investigating the far more important abuses of power and negligence going on the Obama administration. But with the liberal media, the corruption of lefty politicians is not as important as some juicy scandal regarding a public figure.

I pray that Mr. Jarrett gets the help he needs to overcome his addiction and solve his underlying problems.

Notice we have not heard from nor seen hide nor hair of Gregg Jarret since his arrest in May.

What did he DO? Well on November 8, 2013 — a full 8 months ago — he had the audacity of putting on an interview that Obama was finished. No friends. No support. No way, no how would he ever recover. (smirk)

Ha ha

I can just hear the Boy Emperor screaming, “Off with his head!”.

Here is the interview with Wall Street Journal dude (who is probably also on the $hit list and/or equally ‘gone’):
