Pro-(Illegal)Immigration Protesters Again Storm Eric Cantor's Condo "Home Invasion"
The Washington Examiner ^ | Thursday, May 22, 2014 | Sean Higgins

For the second time in six months, a group of pro-immigration protesters stormed inside the private northern Virginia residence of House Majority Leader Eric Cantor, R-Va.

About two dozen activists from a group called Casa de Virginia appeared at the Cantor’s condo complex in Arlington at about 8 p.m. Thursday. One distracted the complex's front desk clerk long enough to allow the rest to stream into the lobby area.

Once inside, they attempted to distribute fliers to residents accusing Cantor of being “the one man blocking immigration reform.” They also loudly chanted, according to residents. At least one protester shouted through a bullhorn.

Police were called and the protesters continued their activities on the sidewalk outside the complex before finally leaving around 9 p.m. No one was reported injured and no arrests were made.

Eric Briggs, another board member, said the protesters had tried to get into residential units. No one did and nothing on the condo property was damaged, he said.

While Cantor's complex does have security, it does not lock the front doors until the evening. The protesters arrived just before they were locked.

If the purpose of the protest was to cause enough problems to turn Cantor’s neighbors against him, it apparently wasn’t working.

“Nobody here has a problem with them marching in the street. We believe in free speech. It is the home invasion that is the problem. It was like somebody staging a protest in your living room,” Briggs said.

“It is the home invasion that is the problem. It was like somebody staging a protest in your living room”

A good metaphor for the immigration issue itself. Why should we have a right to control who comes into our living rooms? Isn’t it racist to allow some in and not others? And those that invite themselves in, don’t they have rights to a share of our food and our property?

“They came in yelling,” said Susanna Gomez, one of the condo complex’s board members. “We tried to talk to them, but they wouldn’t talk to us.”

This is exactly the tactics used by Nazi Brownshirt Storm Troopers in the early 1930s

Oh yeah. Feels like that around here.

I can’t get anything done in a day without at least once looked down on for not speaking a different language than English. Spanish, mostly

A truly Alinksyite tactic.

One that will continue to escalate if he gives them what they want.

Welcome to Mexican intimidation and terrorism.

They go to the home of an elected representative to try to violently confront him?

People in the southwest know about their behavior. It’s one of the many reasons we want them deported back to their thugocracies.

Hope Cantor gets the message. They aren’t poor little Campesinos desperate for a meal. They’re determined thugs looking to take what they can’t make.

It’s the re-Conquistador way.

Eric needs to move into the Ritz-Carlton next to Harry Reid. I bet the lobby is controlled

Good. I hope the illegals make themselves at home in Eric Cantors condo. Su casa es tu casa. Help yourselves to beer in Eric’s refrigerator.

Me too. They should invade every politicians residence and actually set up camp in their living room.

“no arrests were made”

Thats the problem right there. If they did this to my residence, I would expect and denand that the trespassers be arrested and charged. With no arrests, the protesters got the message that theyre going to get away with this thuggish behavior and will step it up a notch next time.

Theyll be back a third time. And the cops should be laying in wait.

I accuse Cantor of setting up this propaganda stunt himself to make it seem like he is in opposition to these pro-Amnesty thugs. Anyone else “invading” a sitting CONgressman’s home would have the entire weight of the Federal leviathan come down on their head like an anvil.

Cantor lives in a gated community. What he has just faced is what average US citizens have to face in their lives every day....we don't have gates and guards.

I hope Cantor got the correct message from this. That would not be the message the pro-invasion activists intended to convey.
