Thursday was the deadline to submit signatures and to pay the filing fee to run as a Republican candidate for the 6th congressional district in Virginia. In response, Paul Bevington, Bob Goodlattes challenger, has announced that he is no longer running under the GOP banner and instead will be on the ballot as an independent in the general election.

Bongino's 2013 book "Life Inside the Bubble" reveals his sterling character and capabilites.
The book's "Advance Praise" section has statements about Bongino from Allen B. West, Matthew Boyle of Brietbart News, and Lt. General Jerry Boykin, a former U.S. Deputy of Defense for Intelligence.
I'll be highly disappointed if Bongino doesn't win in his primary and go on to win the House seat.

Bongino is running for MARYLAND’s 6th congressional district according to his Facebook page and website.
According to Ballotpedia, the deadline to file in Virginia was March 27, 2014.
“However, [Bevington] announced on March 28, 2014, that he was no longer running as a Republican candidate and instead is running as an Independent candidate in the general election”
His website is very minimal and several links don’t work. He refers to a ballot petition but I could not open it. Finally found on the Virginia SOS website that he would need 1000 signatures by June 10. Which is the same he would have needed for the primary. I suspect he could not get the sigs and that he does not have the means to do it for an unenrolled run.
It appears that Bob Goodlatte will be returning to congress without opposition.
