Obama blames Founding Fathers’ ‘structural’ design of Congress for gridlock
Washington Times ^

Posted on 05/24/2014 5:12:21 AM PDT by TigerClaws

President Obama is taking a swipe at the Founding Fathers, blaming his inability to move his agenda on the “disadvantage” of having each state represented equally in the Senate.

At a Democratic fundraiser in Chicago Thursday night, Mr. Obama told a small group of wealthy supporters that there are several hurdles to keeping Democrats in control of the Senate and recapturing the House. One of those problems, he said, is the apportionment of two Senate seats to each state regardless of population.

If we had a parliamentary form of government, Obama would have been replaced in 2010.

Poor baby Barack. The structure of Congress doesn’t allow you to ramrod your agenda through fast enough? Why is this a problem??? Isn’t it really a nod to the Founding Fathers, to devise such a system, which thwarts the goals of a president so liberal as Obama?????

Thank God for gridlock or we’d all be working in collective rice paddies by now.

Yep, Mr. "Constipational Scholar" really has a problem with that "checks and balances" thingy.

The ‘structural’ design is intended to stop people like Obama and therefore a good thing.

“is the apportionment of two Senate seats to each state regardless of population.”

So the jackass like “inequality” when it comes to that.

The Dumbass “constitutional scholar” isn’t bright enough to figure out that our constitution and form of government were designed with restricting government in mind.

And this moron is supposedly a Constitutional scholar? I'm sure he prefers the political structure of his home country, Kenya, where he can become the Ongalaboongala Sahib Skyhook For Life because he has the bigger machete.

Well, you Marxist, Mooslim, Kenyan, Steaming Pant Load - that's why the Founding Fathers gave us the Second Amendment.... and it looks like it's about time for a demonstration of how the system was designed to work.

As usual, the Constitutional scholar gets it wrong. The Seventeenth Amendment set up grid lock giving urban areas a dictatorial objection to the wishes of the States and setting a time lag in the direction the country wants to go.

The founding fathers knew there were people like Obama in the world, and one day one would become president. The roadblocks to a dictatorship are there to allow the TIME needed for the slow-burn people to recognize this and get them out of office.

No one will ever be able to say that this petty tyrant didn’t warn us what he and the cabal who he’s fronting for were up to.

Just watch, if they manage to destroy the Electoral College with the “National Popular Vote” the next step will be the “National Popular Congress”.

All while flooding the country with more and more left-leaning immigrant voters.

Fundamental Transformation, Hope and Change.

Barack is right. The red states should be able to secede. He can have California, NY, IL and MA. He can take DC too.

The rest of us could go back to the constitution and common sense government.

Thank God for the Founding Fathers. Obama's whining is the highest compliment.
