Blame Socialism, Not Shinseki (for VA scandal)
Real Clear Politics ^ | May 24, 2014 | Larry Kudlow

The VA problem is not Shinseki; it's socialism. The Veterans Affairs health care system is completely government run. It is a pure single-payer program. National Review Editor Rich Lowry calls it "an island of socialism in American health care." He is right. I've been arguing this all week.

For years, President Obama has been talking about fixing the VA. But he never stayed with it. And now he says he's angry and wants accountability. But he will never understand that the single-payer government-run system is the real problem.

This VA scandal is a reminder that government-run single-payer health care does not work. And it makes it clear that the entire system must be changed. We owe it to our veterans, and everyone else, too.

If they really want to get a military guy worth a damn in a job like that then, they need to get the commander of the medical command and not some war jockey. Those guys make great heroes, but when it comes to their medical support EVEN they say, “Doc, you got that covered for me?”

In my view, its far worse than that. Shitstiki was simply a highly-paid do nothing. I get the impression that he simply wanted to be “rewarded” for his military service and did Obama’s bidding. No one who had a scintilla of military decency could have sat back for 5 years, watched from the sidelines, and done nothing!
And, if he had a shred of decency, he would have left weeks ago. It’s like leaving those under your command to die while you sit home and get your reward. The only reason Shitstiki should stay on is if the VA were a ship and it was going to sink. But then again, maybe that’s a good analogy.

The American people just can’t bring it upon themselves to blame socialism because they like socialist programs which they “think” benefit them.

Where is Mitch McConnell in addressing this issue?

The only time McC believes in using force is against a conservative in his primary.
