The week prior to the holiday weekend has been rife with food recalls, virus outbreaks and warnings against possible food-borne illnesses. It also precedes one of the country’s biggest barbecue weekends: Memorial Day.

Sprouts, walnuts, hummus and ground beef have all been recalled this week either due to possible contamination from E. coli or Lysteria. E. coli is an intestinal bacteria that can cause gastrointestinal illnesses in humans.

Symptoms can include abdominal pain and diarrhea. Lysteria is a type of food poisoning that most affects pregnant women and children. Symptoms include fever, muscle aches and nausea but can become more severe if the infection spreads to the nervous system.

We are finding that grass-fed derived and free range, from reputable sources is the best

The alkaline nature or property of the organism prevents bacterial growth

And it tastes better

Hummus ?

We find it objectionable when girls try to move in on Super Bowl and other such man food events with fluffy food.

And we wish people would just lighten up and realize food is sometimes just realize food is also social

These occasions call for burgers chips soda beer salad

One can have tea, salad and a burger and let it go. And just stop with the whole grain Go to the bakery

Buy your hamburg fresh ground and local and you are unlikely to have an issue.
No offense to this brand, but it is stuffed packed like this that is the problem.

If I have to eat chickpeas, I suppose hummus is the preferred way, but I would not go out of my way for it.
