Breitbart ^ | May 24, 2014 | Robert Wilde

Posted on 05/24/2014 9:51:51 PM PDT by This Just In

In an emotional statement, the father of a victim of the mass murder in Isla Vista on Friday night addressed reporters Saturday and warned families that it can happen to them too. "Our family has a message for every parent out there: You don’t think it’ll happen to your child until it does.”

I’ll give the dad some latitude. His son was murdered today. I hope I never had to deal with such a loss. I believe he meant “...being a victim...”

The atheist jerk being the shooter’s so-called father.

If the victims were armed chances are some of them would still be with us.

The Left has and never will reciprocate your kind gesture of understanding.

Unarmed victims are means to the Left’s wicked end.

Sorry, inattention on my part - I thought it was the father of the shooter speaking. "My bad", as the saying goes.

Right, I didn’t write that well

Earlier today someone posted a video of the dad doing a 2 or 3 minute light interview, and he is amazingly like his son as far as being full of himself, and he is an atheist.

“Maybe I’m wrong on this...but from ALL mass killings of the last fifty years....has any NRA member ever participated in any of these?”

Their so-called “point” is that the NRA has prevented universal gun confiscation, which would have prevented these and all subsequent murders.

I lived in Japan for 20 years. I remember news reports of murders with umbrellas, steel rods, poison (dozens of people on that one), and, of course, knives.

It was obvious that their strict gun and knife control laws prevent murder. And if a 95lb woman can’t defend herself against a 250lb body builder, well, that’s what she gets for being so small.

Right?

This keeps getting worse for me, I missed that it isn’t the shooter’s dad, as the subject of the thread.

I’m doing some stuff right now and my distraction is sure being displayed on this thread.

"Father of Slain Victim Blames Son’s Death on NRA and Craven Politicians ..."

... Bet that's a big relief to the shooters parents knowing that their son is blameless in the deaths of all of those people that he killed.

I made the same mistake. I thought this was about the shooter’s father.

This man’s son would be just as dead had he used a crack barrel 12ga loaded with 3” #00. He rolled up to the unsuspecting crowd aimed and fired.

They may not, but at least the would-be murderer would’ve be stopped and lives would’ve been spared. That’s the thing about law abiding gun-owners. They don’t defend life to try and persuade the anti-gun advocates. They defend innocent lives because life is to be protected and cherished.

Shooter’s father seemed to go beyond disassociation from faith, but instead appeared to ridicule the faithful. Narcissistic? I wouldn’t say no.
