“The Sunday Morning Bray”, by Bray!

For I will restore you to health and I will heal you of your wounds delares the Lord, because they have called you an outcast, saying: “It is Zion; no one cares for her.”’ Jeremiah 30:17

Why should anyone be surprised there were death lists at the VA, it is the natural process of Marxism. There is no way a socialist enterprise can compete with a free market one due to the lack of profit incentives which are replaced with political ones. There is no natural selection or efficiency necessities due to budgeting and making dollars go as far as possible, so those inefficiencies are translated into waste and you end up with a boondoggle hospital system. It is always going to end up top heavy with management you can’t effectively get rid of and inflated salaries to the panels deciding who lives and dies.

Alexander Solzhenitsyn described this hospital system in his award winning book Cancer Ward. In it he described how there were two levels of care in the Soviet Union. One for the Inner Circle who were either Party members or could afford the extra expense of that care. The second was the wards where people were cared for in horrific conditions until they reached a point where the care level became too expensive and then were release with a large jar of pain medication. Our veterans hospitals have become a similar model except there are no jars of medication and the death matrix has been replaced with a waiting list.

As usual the Obozo administration is hiding in his adoring crowds of photops to give the appearance he is still loved, but let him walk a few of those halls of our Veteran Hospitals. We are hearing stories of our elderly vets having obvious cancer symptoms not being admitted for diagnosis, but given a medication and sent home to die just like the Soviet Union. We are finding out they were being put on “waiting lists” which were death sentences to anyone on them. We need to find out how and why these decisions were made although we already know why, a bloated gummit system. We have political hacks running a system from the top down and there is no natural regulator going from the bottom up. This is a major systemic problem with the socialist model and it cannot be cured by anyone who believes that model works, they will only make it much worse and our soldiers will be the victims.

If we do not act soon the entire US is going to be soldiers in the VA. #ObomaNoCare is the guillotine of the insurance industry leading to the transformation to a Soviet style healthcare program which will make the VA waiting lists look like urgent care. You have already lost your doctor who you and your family had a relationship with and you will now have a nameless, faceless doctor who will treat you like you are a cow going through a Chicago stockyard. The next step is to create a value matrix like they have at the VA where they decide whether the Marxist inflated cost of treating you is worth the potential return on investment of your remain potential years. You better end up with a positive score or you will go on a Waiting to Die list, and that is how you balance the books in an Obama hospital.

We also can count on the Party members will be getting better scores than the Republicans as we saw with the IRS scandal. To allow people to die who would vote against the Party only makes sense and you can bet that your Party affiliation and religion will be included in the matrix. We all know how petty and political this group is and now that they have control they want to turn this into the communist utopia they believe they can make it. That always starts and ends with Nationalized Healthcare that is run by the central gummit and we have the perfect example at the VA. Sure everyone gets covered its just that some people are more covered than others and those are the ones who belong to the right Party and have connections. It is the most corrupt system ever invented and coming to a hospital near you.

There is a solution to the VA although it will never happen. Turn them into private hospitals with private administration and help subsidize the Veterans insurance premiums. There is no such thing as free healthcare and the VA hospital system was a sham expanded by Roosevelt to take care of the returning soldiers in his attempt to socialize America. He thought the entire country would follow that model and now his dream and our nightmare is coming true.

On this Memorial weekend we need to take a look at how we are disgracing our Veterans and ask ourselves as a nation if we can do better. Why do we have to have a separate system for Veterans who have served this country and be put away in a substandard form of care? Why can’t we take care of them in our regular hospitals and give them free care if that is what they signed up for. The numbers are not that large in the bigger scheme and if we had a free market system they could be incorporated. These are the natural problems you have when you install a centralized Marxist styled hospital system and is only going to be a thousand times worse when you bring the entire country under the same program.

Like a lady said last week, she changed her Party membership to avoid getting audited by the IRS, you will need to change your Party membership to stay off the waiting lists at Obama’s hospitals. Welcome to the VA waiting lists or as Sarah Palin called them, “Death Panels.”

Pray America wakes up

Note: The above opinion is not necessarily my own, but FReeper Bray’s. If you wish to discuss this, please ping Bray.

Great piece as usual bud.
In November once we take over the Senate lets give our vets the same insurance our Senators and House members have. After that let’s start gutting big government. We can start with EPA and work down from there.

Well, Allen West's news from Friday did not merit the PropAgit machine. Thanks to a few Sunday Show regulars who contributed to the thread. I still find the thing strange on several levels - one of which is why West would release it on the Friday of a three day weekend.

Perhaps our John Dean will be the person who comes forth with testimony about threats to kill his pension.

we need to let it be known that any country that screws over our troops will have a price to pay!!

I read that Don-o and...well first, I think every word West revealed about Benghazi happens to be true.

As I understand it, there was a gun running operation bringing guns to Libya to fight Ghaddafi. Then there was a buy-back program and the guns returned were ferreted out to the rebels in Syria?

Maybe Kabar, my cousin by a different mother, can elaborate, but I understand that gun running operations, secret and away from public eyes, are something every president indulges in. It’s just easier to sneak in weapons to those who are trying to depose those we don’t like. I am reminded of Iran-contra of the Reagan admin.

However, West says a friend of a friend of a friend’s beautician’s brother-in-law told him all this but still and so, I think it’s probably the truth.

In November once we take over the Senate ...

Don't be so sure. After Mitch McConnell won his primary this week, a huge amount of people here says they'd rather vote for the democrat, Grimes, than him, because he's a RINO.

I hope this isn't another election where millions of us stay home. Those who wanted Bevins to defeat McConnell did.

Here's the turnout from Tuesday's vote:
# Eligible voters / # voted / Percentage
2,980,008 / 415,337 / 13.9

Only 14 % voted! This is why WE (TEA Party/Conservatives) lose. I'm not saying it's universal, but if people in Kentucky hate McConnell so much, they really should have voted Bevins. Turning around now and saying you'll vote democrat is not the answer...

I am really so tired of all the TALKERS who do nothing but complain about RINOs but don't show up at the primaries. Primaries everywhere have dismal turnouts. They are the PRIMARY place to defeat RINOs.

One revelation that the talk-newsies seemed to miss regarding the VA situation came from a caller to Levin's radio program. The caller said that most of the VA employees are unionized and that is a big part of the problem.

I had not read or heard anywhere else that the VA employees are unionized. A quick Google search this morning showed this article on WND.com:

Please excuse my numbers above! I copied the wrong year! Those numbers were from 2012! Here are the correct numbers for Mat 20, 2014:

Eligible voters / # voted / Percentage
3,105,349 / 840,586 / 27.07 %

So, 28% is better than 14% but still... If more conservatives had just shown up and voted--and Kentucky has more conservatives than 28%--McConnell would have been defeated.

I too paused in thought about the VA and the union people.

I once worked at a hospital in Baltimore, ran by nurse’s union the Service employees union.

Those unions had so many rules about when and how they work. Eventually the hospital went down and was turned into a nursing home.

They couldn’t work in the rain, the sun must not burn skin, Tuesday were out, no workee on holiday including National Watermelon week.

And it will soon be the same with Obamacare.

That was an awful experience, that pathetic little hospital, which served the poor people of Baltimore by the way.

Cause with the unions, they launder the money as it flows TO the politicians and as it flows BACK in.

Count on it, the unions are the problem and that law to allow firing at the VA easier...NOT going to go. AND IT WILL NEVER GET BETTER!

Heard earlier this issue is not conservative versus liberal or Republican versus Democrat because it affects all of us and everyone wants to support the troops. Really? I don’t think so.

It most certainly IS another example of Republicans versus Democrats and how liberals still want to run everything to suit their warped utopian vision of America. Your take on this upcoming Animal Farm America is right on point. The Democrats, if allowed, will create a two tiered benefit package where some pigs are more equal than others.

I recall while the Benghazi attack was happening, we had thread posts about the CIA being in Benghazi because of 20,000 missing SAT missiles.

Gutting the EPA is one thing.

But what we REALLY need to gut is the Internal Revenue Service and the income tax code based on Title 26, the Internal Revenue code. Like I said before, look at what is wrong with our income tax code:

1. 30,000 tax lobbyists--HALF the lobbyists in Washington, DC--fighting for every scrap of a tax loophole. And you get political corruption on a huge scale over this.
2. The result is a tax code over 70,000 pages long so complex that it makes James Joyce's Finnegans Wake almost easy to read in comparison. Even the IRS can't figure out much of the tax code!
3. The sheer complexity means exorbitant yearly compliance costs, estimated by some economists to soon approach US$500 BILLION per year (and climbing fast in each subsequent year, especially with the imposition of Obamacare mandates through the tax code).
4. It also encourages the outsourcing of millions of jobs, thousands of factories, and hundreds of corporate headquarters for tax avoidance reasons. Care to explain why Apple manufactures its products in China, and why Google has to used that highly-complex and expensive Double Irish with Dutch Sandwich accounting scheme to lower its tax bill?
5. It results in (by some estimates) around US$15 TRILLION in American-owned liquid assets sitting in offshore financial centers and other foreign banks for tax avoidance reasons (care to explain all those "banks" in the Cayman Islands, Bahamas, British Virgin Islands, and so on? Or why Apple has 70% of its US$100+ billion liquid asset reserve outside the USA?).
6. Government uses the tax code as a political instrument to favor or punish political constituencies as little as ONE taxpaying entity. The recent scandal using the IRS to target conservative 501(c)(3) and 501(c)(4) groups is clear proof of this.
7. Because the IRS needs to know intimate details of personal and business financial records in tax return filings, there are potentially serious issues with invasion of privacy. Care to explain why former Presidential candidate Mitt Romney's private tax returns ended up in the offices of Senator Harry Reid (D-NV)?
8. The IRS assumes you're guilty of tax evasion, and you end up having less rights than most common criminals!

Now you know the reason for my tagline.

All we can do here is bring the truth and reality to as many as we can.If our side is so stupid that they sit home and let the commies have their way then there is not too much we can do.I really don’ see that happening other than a few pockets of special circumstances.I think our side has had enough of commie rule.
.............
Wednesday night i was lucky enough to hear a presentation from a fairly high ranking member or Americans for Prosperity who spoke to our local Republican Club. With truly great groups like this working their tails off going door to door exposing the financial excesses of the left I see us doing better than in prior elections. Maybe I'm wrong, hope I'm not.

Here's the problem AB.

Running for Senate against a super well informed/well financed Senator like mitch the bitch is very similar to running for potus on a smaller scale.

You have to have all your ducks in a row, have name ID, more money than you ever dreamed about and an organization that will knock out the biggest and the best.

Time to start is probably three to four years before election time with all your ducks in a row.

A hope I can win campaign seldom works.

.........................

NOte: its even worse than that at the presidential level. Looking at the field of potential presidential candidates on our side how many fill the bill of having all the necessary "musts to win" accomplished?

I can think of only one.

Actually, that was my initial feeling also. But a good prosecutor/defense lawyer will put someone on the stand to state the obvious, get objected to, have objection sustained, but it's still in the minds of the jury (the American people). Just sayin'...

“Alexander Solzhenitsyn described this hospital system in his award winning book Cancer Ward”

I have personal testimony ton Socialist everything. We escaped communist Easter Europe in 1966. My father was a OBGYN. We lived well because my father brought home gifts fresh eggs, chicken, booze from his patients.

People for the most part are the same everywhere in the world.

Bray has it right - “There is no way a socialist enterprise can compete with a free market one due to the lack of profit incentives which are replaced with political ones. “

Who here, outside of Church or some local charitable activity is willing to work for nothing? I am not. Look at the 49% living on welfare.

These hearings will present the biggest Democrat obstruction of all time UNLESS Gowdy already has proof of smoking guns. If I hear the words “internet video” one more time, I will vomit. Folks do not care about that. They want to know what the President was doing or not doing, was there a “stand down” order, by whom issued? (Was there a “stand up” or “go” order?). In other words, why did we not respond militarily, ask other countries to do so? Where are the embassy survivors? are they accessible? did they have their names changed? Have they been held incommunicado? Have they been threatened to not talk? [Some of the crap we have heard]. Big mish-mash. Meanwhile the Dems appointed to Committee are all trouble makers and ready to obstruct, delay, whine etc. UNLESS Gowdy has something new and engages public curiosity so they demand more information to come out. Anything less, will be a disaster, and probably lose us the House.

Good morning, all!

Nice analysis as usual, bray! The parallels between the Soviet Union and what is going on in America today are frightening. I know, I know; same people, different language. I suppose we'll know we have passed the tipping point when our government takes determined action to close our borders - to keep us in!

In the meantime everyone, enjoy the beautiful weekend and honor those who have served, given all, and done the right and honorable things in defense of America and our Constitution. There are so many of them!

“I am really so tired of all the TALKERS who do nothing but complain about RINOs but don’t show up at the primaries. Primaries everywhere have dismal turnouts. They are the PRIMARY place to defeat RINOs.”

I agree with this sentiment. Two years ago, here in Texas, in an OPEN seat fight Ted Cruz won because
1. Low primary turnout
2. even lower runoff turnout.

So just how many people care anything about our g’ment? And just how many do we really need to show up on primary day?

For seats where there is an incumbent running there are many obstacles.
Here in Texas John Wayne McCornyn had abysmal opposition. NO ONE with any credibility chose to run against him

Was this also the case in Kentucky? More primary voters had a vested interest in Mitch? Was Bevin as good candidate?

...but I understand that gun running operations, secret and away from public eyes, are something every president indulges in. It’s just easier to sneak in weapons to those who are trying to depose those we don’t like. I am reminded of Iran-contra of the Reagan admin.

Good morning. Pat. I don't know if every President engages in gun running, but the Executive branch will use end runs around laws that constrain its actions with or without the knowledge of Congress.

In the case of Benghazi, it wouldn't surprise me to learn that at least the top four ranking members of Congress--Reid, McDonnell, Boehner, and Pelosi--knew what was happening in Benghazi. I suspect one reason Boehner dragged his feet on a Select Committee was to hide their participation in and knowledge of what was going on there.

The fact that the Turkish Consul met with Stevens indicates to me that the Turks were assisting in the movement of weapons to the Syrian resistance--weapons we must have been harvesting in Benghazi, which is a seaport and close to Turkey and Syria.

We used the Saudis as a conduit to send weapons via Pakistan to the the Afghan resistance that was fighting the Soviets. Something similar appears to be going on Benghazi. And no doubt, there were also concerns about rounding up Stinger missiles from the Libyan rebels.

Given the highly classified nature of the operations, I wonder if we will ever find out what was going on. Gowdy won't be able to reveal it or he may feel bound to gloss it over. If Congress had not been informed, then it is a different ballgame. I found it interesting that Mike Morrell, the former Deputy CIA Director, said during the Congressional hearings that he had edited some of the talking points so as not to make the State Department look bad. Strange remark.

A hard search does not disclose when hearings will start. All articles are negative, new committee is a “lynch mob”, “after 8 reviews, now one more” etc. Sickening.

Of course Gowdy will have to hire staff, get their ducks in line, review all the information gleaned from prior hearing results, etc.

As I say, if they do not have significant new, provable information then this will be a disaster. I have hopes they are not THAT stupid

You miss my point entirely.

It is not about ridding the chaff in the general election but rather the primary.

27% of Kentucky's eligble voters voted in the primary on May 20th. Since Kentucky is a deeply conservative state, why couldn't those non-voting but eligible conservatives had taken 30 minutes of their busy lives and go vote for BEVINS???!!!!

They didn't. Call it laziness, ignorance or whatever, but we conservatives have a terrible voting problem.

Many here have said "Give me a conservative candidate for a change, and I will vote for him/her!"

Well, another chance squandered.

All talk. nothing but cheap talk. Seriously, I'm pi$$ed.

27 %. Really?! And every Kentuckian conservative wants Mitch McConnell to lose, so I'm told. Now they're so angry, they'll vote for the democrat in November just to show 'em!

Don't you realize just how lame that is, given Tuesday's turnout?

The rest of us sure wants him to go! Where the Hell where the Kentucky conservatives on Tuesday? Did non-Kentucky conservative rally to help get out the vote for Bevins in Kentucky?

No, they were on Free Republic, complaining about Boehner and McConnell being the same as democrats, and now talking about voting democrat to really show 'em that conservatives cannot be taken for granted! Seriously?

Absolutely! In a world of best cases we could take over both Houses maybe the presidency and then just reinvent government at about half the current size its at now or even less.

“WHEW! That was a close one. The Left/Libs ALMOST lost Kirstin Powers.”

I was waiting for someone to open this door.

Last time we publicly saw this type of propaganda was As the Beatles say Back in the U.S.S.R Pravda days. The commie A.K.A. the democrats are closing ranks.

In history there were a few times when the propaganda apparatchiks met with their just rewards.
1. The French revolution when it turned on its own
2. Tokyo Rose, who I believe may have been hanged after the proper due process

Who knows, we too may get lucky and some crazy commie democrat will run over Kirstin - Schadenfreude
