YES! Liberal tears! South Carolina has done a very very bold thing here, and I encourage other red states to do the same. You fund these indoctrination camps with state money. SHUT DOWN LEFT WING CLASSES and replace them with constitution courses.

If the commenters are any example of the intellectual output of modern universities, I will insist my grandchildren take up trades. At least they will be aware that water runs downhill.

It is high time for the grievance studies teat to dry up. It has proven to be an investment in protracted misery and discontent, keeping open any legitimate wounds of the past, and providing excuses for those in the present to underachieve based on events and social climates of decades ago. If anything, the continuance of blaming the present for the past will only ensure a backlash against those who claim grievance which may be far worse than the past they claim to study.

Enough. You are what you are and you ain't what you ain't, as the song goes (John Prine's Dear Abby). Where you go from there depends on your achievements in the real world.

This is hilarious. I hope that it, and other cutbacks like it, sweep the red states. No reason that taxpayers should in any way fund bigotry, sexism, or racism. Ethnic and gender studies programs are as reprehensible in their way as would be programs lauding the wonders of slavery.

The Center for Women’s and Gender Studies (CWGS) at the University of South Carolina Upstate (USCU) will close on July 1 and the funding, previously allocated for CWGS, will be used to teach the Constitution, Declaration of Independence, and Federalist Papers.

I just wanted to read that again. That made my day. Maybe my whole week.

The determination on the part of the Left to turn universities into cauldrons of social hatred and sexual playpens is, I am hoping, finally reaching a peak. This particular abscess has been lanced and will be drained, and the healing will begin. There are plenty of others.

You got to teach Racism to progate it, and having attended one of theses classes before I can tell you that they are nothing more than outlets for teaching Racial and sexual resentment and hate.

Its one thing to know history its quite anther to dwell and demand retribution from those now living and innocent for it. No government has any business funding this racist and sexist madness. The people only have an interest in their citizen knowing of the Constitutional limits of Government less they be tempted to elect leaders who violate those limits for whatever reason thus assaulting the rights of all other citizens.

It is this self-interest alone that even begins to argue for public funding of education in a democracy.

Why is everyone except straight white guys entitled to feel “welcome and accepted”?
