Unless some kind of miracle happens, I think the Southeast is too far gone to recover. And that was predicted to happen the day the Maidan fell, before anything ever happened in Crimea. Anyone paying attention could see that writing on the wall.

The definition of “Southeast” may change, with province borders redrawn, but the actions of the coup leadership have since sealed that fate.

Poroshenko has, I believe, just ONE chance to make this right.

Poroshenko said his first trip as president will be to Donbas. He’s offering amnesty for anyone who lays down arms.

Considering how the “leaders” in the east are treating the people, they better accept that offer. The locals are just about ready to kill themselves some separatists.
