The Libertarian Party has the worlds smallest political quiz...which is a good way of knowing who you are voting for.

Something needed to be done about all the Islamo fascists being let in to take over their country. As it is there are too many muslim nutjobs living there now. They have their work cut out for them. They need to ban muslim teaching to youth to stop it.

Nigel Farage of UKIP has kept his distance from the FN but the people of France vote for them because of the misery brought upon them by business as usual politicians like people in England vote for UKIP.

The whole meme of the Nazis as a right wing organization is simply socialist propaganda

Conservatives want a small centralized government. Conservatives greatly value individual freedoms, and believe that each person has the right and responsibility to make decisions for himself.

Liberals want a large centralized government, and one that limits individual freedoms ("for the common good"). Liberals do not even see people as individuals, but only as members of some group.

Nazis and Communists believe in none of the conservative ideas, and in all of the liberal ones. Case closed.

Agreed.

Looks like the French got tired of Francois Hollande’s schemes pretty quickly. Wish American has as much sense with nobama.

France is fightimg between national socialists and international socialists.

Libertarian nationalism is dead in continental europe.

Far right has a different meaning in Europe than it does here. Unfortunately most young people don’t know that.

Not if you are looking at Belgium, the Netherlands, Denmark, Norway and Sweden.

It is unfortunate to use the term 'liberal' in a discussion like this. In other countries around the world the term Liberal means something much closer to conservatism and, for many years, that was also true in the US -- until the socialists stole it to hide their socialism (much like homosexuals stole the term 'gay' to hide the sadness in their lives).

I suggest staying with the term 'socialist' as in the other posts.

This is the true scale below. All totalitarian ideologies go to the left, where lack of government is on the far right.

At the same time, people often confuse socialist terrorism with anarchist activity, which is incorrect. Anarchy is the absence of government where most activity described as being anarchist is actually intent on bringing about a more severe form of totalitarianism.

It's taken the left decades to spread about the false premise of previous spectrums, but a simple chart shreads all their efforts. The simplest explanation of conservatism is a minimalist governing body, which falls on the center of the scale. The beliefs of libertarianism take us towards the far right. Not that I have a problem with that.

Most anarchists and some Libertopians are actually socialists who want to crash the system and rebuild utopia. To find Libertopian utopia read: Brave New World

You can find the whole thing online

Don’t know what to think. UKIP, who I like, won’t have anything to do with them.

I actually thought about that. For as you know, at one time "liberal" had a very non-political meaning; it meant open to new ideas.

But to me, "socialist" doesn't seem to fit quite right here either. Perhaps the US left should be best described as just that, leftists.
