A more realistic scenario is that the companies can simply move operations out of the country to countries where they don't have to pay as much in wages, pay no healthcare, etc.
This way, they keep production up - but in the US, it has the same effect as firing workers. So, they can stick it to Obama ...

We’re moving to get away from idiot liberals. I can’t even stand being around the brainless people any more. But this will get harder and harder as the dumbing down in the ‘education’ system takes over the entire younger generations.
The liberals in my clan feel the same way about me as I do about them. That’s the only thing we agree on.
The reason it got to this point is I got tired of being insulted and disrespected in my own home. They can’t have a discussion without telling us how stupid we are and how stupid Sarah Palin is and how stupid George Bush is. Try to tell them you don’t want to discuss it and it does no good. I finally just cut them all off. And I don’t see it ever see a relationship with them. If, by some miracle, they were to see the light, it would take decades. I won’t live that long. And truthfully, I wouldn’t trust them if they told me they had realized the error of their ways. I just don’t trust a liberal.
Ditto with the liberals I have given the benefit of the doubt to in the past. They can’t control themselves to not discuss politics. They have no respect that we differ on substance, but think that if they try cramming it down my throat enough, I’ll cave. Same thing the MSM does.
As your screename says, it is sad because this bullying does work with the brainless set.
In our small mountain community, we had a bunch of liberals take over the water board. They had a plan to get a 40 year, half million dollar USDA loan to implement some fixes. Never mind that USDA requirements would cost an additional $300k! and the many community members who had ran projects in the past showing how to do it all cheaper. Nope, 3 school teachers and a deputy thought they were smarter than engineers and a CFO of a multimillion dollar company.
It was disappointing and Assad commentary on our society that many older folks who should have been smarter got caught up in the manipulative winning and dining and backed this fiasco.
End result - they spent every penny and got less than half of the fixes done. And the community won’t be able to get another loan for four decades.
I am so done with liberals and those that unthinkingly follow them.
