If you live in San Francisco, keep your eyes peeled for wads of cash.
The Bold Italic reports they received an anonymous email this morning from someone saying they launched a campaign where they're hiding cash all over San Francisco, calling it a social experiment.
The person is apparently a real estate mogul who made tons of money in the market.
The email continued,
Our Twitter page @HiddenCash will show people where the money is hidden. There are a few hundred dollars hidden last night already, and this will continue. We have two $100 bills hidden and some $20s.

Troll hundred dollar bills thru San Fransicko and who knows what queer fish will bite..
Of course they’re North Korean counterfeits, but still...
Seems a little decadent. Someone laughing at making people behave like pigs at the trough. If you really want to help someone, provide seed money to someone who wants to start a business,, but can’t get a loan big enough to matter. I would love to own and operate a level four adult group home but I have virtually no assets other than 20 years exp. with the disabled population. This scavenger hunt is foolish and will lead to the finder being confronted or violently robbed.
Wouldn’t this be fun. Put up signs saying they are hidden in yards of the city’s elite and hilarity ensues.

If money hidden on private property could lead to many other deaths as well
Have hordes of homeless dug up GG Park yet?
This is what happens when they answer that infamous Nigerian Bank Account email...../s
Ben isn't starving.

Wow, two $100 bills and some $20s, surely, sums worthy of a mogul..................
Watch your cornhole, buddy...
That was the basis of Terry Southern's "The Magic Christian".
As a social experiment, I’ve thought about throwing paper money down the hole in a port-o-potty in a busy location, and then coming back later to see if it was taken.
My hypothesis is that even a lowly one dollar bill will be extracted.

Do they take root and grow? /S
A social experiment, eh? Based on how people will line up in a queue of 30 cars for the opportunity to save 25¢ on a gallon of gas, this laboratory philanthropist will have Bay Area denizens digging and trashing the hills of San Francisco for the hidden booties by the thousands.
Someone once started a rumor $1000 was hidden in a library book. Library got trashed. Look it up.
Sounds like the type of stunt local radio stations would pull.
I recall in the mid-1970s a St. Louis radio station offered free pictures of some presidents to celebrate Presidents’ Day. Sadly, they got zero requests. What they did not announce (until after the promotion was over) was that those ‘pictures’ were on US currency.
The ironic thing was .. the nasty stuff in the pool was, n fact, nasty stuff ... and the money was real ... and in went the movie "extras".
Life imitating art
You can easily find them using a metal detector!
