“So the employees who got good reviews got them “unfairly”, and now everybody will get high reviews whether they deserve them or not. So why bother with reviews, and why go out of your way to do a good job?”
This is how the education industry functions already; now the workplace will as well (many already do).
It seems to me that companies that don’t do this will have a huge advantage over those that do.
Diversity dont ya just love it, it’s like liberalism a cancer that keeps on giving. Nice to get what you dont deserve because of the color of your skin, MLK is turning over for the umpteen time.

Either the reviews were unfair, and held back employees of exceptional merit, or they were fair and recognized employees working above their median abilities.
Or, perhaps it was just a case of “disparate impact”, where the expectations of the workplace resulted in too many ambitious white males making the grade and the others just lazying along.

Sure, until the government mandates it. Today many preferred minorities (blacks, Hispanics, women) are only in their jobs to fend off the lawyers the government is trying to sic on them. The financial firms took a beating a few years ago with this; even with perfectly rational explanations as to why so few of your top slots might be filled by women, you’ll still pay millions in settlements.
Without mentioning the words “affirmative action”, the government has ensured that the tokens will be OVER-represented at all levels in a company; the war on white guys rolls on. Maybe white women will get a clue from that whacko in CA who thought he was entitled to a blonde sex-doll...

The government won’t fix what ails “preferred minorities” in the classroom, so after giving them fake diplomas and degrees they have to pretend they can contribute something (when supervisors can clearly see that many can’t). If we are going to pretend that they are educated, than we are going to pretend that they can do well in a job; merit and ability has nothing to do with it. To look at ability is to be racist; we must all practice the soft bigotry of lowered (if any) expectations.

That is exactly how you end up in court; pretend they are qualified, pretend they work, then get dragged into court when they find out that the whites that actually are qualified and working are getting paid more...
It is amazing to me how quickly Dems are acheiving economic parity between whites & blacks by simply resticting opportunites for whites (in education and the workplace); young white males (note: not females, who make up 59.99999% of college classes now) live in their parents basements because there is no way for them to get out and start a family. If government housing had basements, black men would be doing the same thing; instead many simply live in said housing with the mothers of their children (off the record).
If whites keep their Western culture (emphasizing education, hard work, and family), they’ll weather this storm; their opponents in this economic war don’t have the same priorities. While the First wookie pretends the pie is infinite, there is in fact a finite number of seats in colleges, jobs, and promotions.
You really think MLK would be upset with this?
Can’t wait till they do this in basketball. I remember Wally Osterkorn of the Syracuse Nationals, who played when I was young. Wally was the Nationals “hatch man”, every team had at least one. Maybe he can get into the Basketball Hall of Fame now.

Years ago I was working with a client to help reduce turnover in the customer service group. We did a statistical analysis to develop a 'weighted application blank' to see if there were things we could glean from an application blank that would lead to longer tenured hires. Interesting, but the two factors we found most related to tenure were if they stayed on their last job for 2 years, and if they lived in the same place for 2 years. Unfortunately, we excluded so many blacks in the process we would have set ourselves for 'disparate impact' suits.
