Elliot Rodger detailed plans for UCSB massacre, hatred for women in online manifesto
National Post ^ | May 25, 2014 | Martha Mendoza, Oskar Garcia

Posted on 05/26/2014 12:37:40 PM PDT by Enterprise

Elliot Rodger pounded on the sorority house front door while, inside, the young women he yearned to slaughter were preparing for another Friday night.

The awkward 22-year-old was obsessed with exacting “retribution” for what he experienced as a lifetime of social and sexual isolation, and had planned meticulously to target as many people as possible, authorities say. But here again, he was denied access to those he felt should worship him.

So when no one answered after several minutes, Rodger improvised.

Well if Elliot had known ANYTHING about females, he would have known that it takes time to "get ready," and not even their boyfriends are going to see them before then.

This person was mentally ill. Whatever beliefs he had were not grounded in reality. Arguing about it is stupid.

We’re not going to let the liberal left paint this as the NRA when it was clearly this clown who is 100% to blame.

I think it was the police and his parents. He had not been living in reality for a long time. His parents never took him to a mental health professional, at least until the time he was 20.

I blame him first.

Then his parents and the cops.

Too bad his first victim didn’t give him a .45 in the center mass.

He would have been a hero, instead of a victim. Or at least alive to tell about it.

Rest assured AP and its lying hacks omitted most of what this murderer wrote. He was obsessed with blonde women and had a hatred first for blond men that soon became hatred for blonde women and even gentle people of color who scored with blonde women. Kid was basically a completely twisted caricature of “anti-racism” training when it goes horribly wrong. Again, AP is writing nothing here but propaganda, these two writers and their editors are lying vermin.

A couple of questions -

1. Was he a member of the NRA?

2. Did he vote Republican or Democrat?

He purchased the guns himself.

"I had already done some research on handguns, and I decided to purchase the Glock 34 semiautomatic pistol, an efficient and highly accurate weapon. I signed all of the papers and was told that my pickup day was in mid-December. That fell in nicely, because that was when I was planning on staying in Santa Barbara till. After I picked up the handgun, I brought it back to my room and felt a new sense of power. I was now armed."

He bought his second handgun in the spring of 2013, when he "began to seriously think about planning the Day of Retribution," he wrote.

He bought a third gun a year later. "I needed to buy a third handgun, just in case one of them jams."

There's not a lot of information about the contact by the 7 officers with Elliot. So I will speculate. The ultimate decision didn't come down to the "cops." It came down to one cop.

Regarding this specific call, it would be unlikely for 7 officers to arrive without having a supervisor present. The presence of a supervisor indicates that the department knew that they weren't dealing with a run of the mill citizen, and the supervisor was there to make sure there was no possible allegation of officer misconduct. That supervisor would likely be a Sergeant. Regardless of who was interviewing Elliot, the remaining officers would not be poking around and searching for guns without a warrant. Why not? It would be because of the presence of the supervisor.

What guarantees that there will be more mass killings is the lie the leftists tell themselves that the mass murderers are likely to be Tea Party Members, people unsatisfied with Obamacare, and Military Veterans. They will not acknowledge that mass killers are often mental cases who happen to be leftists.

I’m just amazed. The sheriff sends two flatfeet over to check this guy out. They ask him if he is going to commit suicide or mass murder and he says no (recollect the FBI and Boston bomber suspects) so they leave and report back that he is a solid upstanding American.

If you read his manifesto in its entirety, you might rethink the “mental illness” diagnosis. It was not written by a crazy person. It was written by an enraged narcissist. No hint of delusion.

Would you also suggest that the apologists for the Third Reich who justified why the Final Solution had to be carried out were “mentally ill?” Doubt it. No one denies their agency. They were the authors and the perpetrators. We are more apt to correctly call them evil.

The Nazis hated Jews; this kid hated blonde girls and the guys who got to date them. The manifesto lays out, in perfectly cogent prose, why he hated them and what he was going to do to exact revenge. And he did it. Not on the scale he imagined, but he wasn’t delusional.

He was evil, not mentally ill.

Maybe you should try reading it. I read it and the person who wrote it is entirely delusional. If you actually read it, you will see the person did not even know what was going on around him. I never said one can't be mentally ill and evil. The shame is the parents knew that this kid wasn't right, but they never took him to get help.

You really need to actually read it. This person was extremely narcissistic, but also hugely delusional. His idea that these women hated him was entirely in his mind. His deranged ideas did not reflect reality. He even projects his delusional beliefs onto his childhood, but a rational person can see right though it. And it's obvious his parents were treating him in a certain way that he can't see through, because of his problems.

I read every word of it.

If you have no friends, you are correctly perceiving that people don’t like you.

People who grew up with him have been quoted at length in news stories. They didn’t like him. Surly and weird are the two most frequent descriptions.

Like most adolescents, he may have been mistaken why he made people so uncomfortable, but that’s not mental illness or delusion.

He had friends. There is even a case where he describes where he describes a kid he calls John Jo Glen as one of the popular kids- then he goes on to be good friends with that kid for several years. In 8th grade, when his condition perhaps develop, he went out of his way to offend his peers. He is delusionally paranoid. If his paranoia about being liked is causing him to be dislike, that isn't the same thing. Also, he had severe arrested development. By the time he is 18, he has the emotional maturity of a grade schooler.

Narcissism is a personality disorder, like avoidance, dependance, or obsessive-compulsion.

It’s extremely common, especially in young people, and may or may not accompany genuine mental illness.

In his own words, he was friendless from age 14 on.

And there is no native speaker of English in all of time or eternity who could possibly interpret my earlier post as calling you a Nazi sympathizer. Or an anti-Semite!

My point is and was that murder motivated by racial and gender hatred can’t be automatically attributed to “mental illness,” because it’s so uncanny that it makes us feel better to chalk it up to looney-tunes. Because the alternative, that evil might exist in this world, is simply beyond our ken.

I’m not afraid or too smart to call evil, evil. The Nazis were totally in control of their faculties, and they were evil murderers. The 9/11 hijackers were in control of their faculties and they were evil murderers.

This kid didn’t hear voices or see white rabbits. He said on paper and on tape what he was going to do and why. He was evil.

And I’m not calling you an Islamo fascist sympathizer.

You really need to read it yourself, because your claims are totally inaccurate. Just off the top of my head, I can name several friends he had after he was 14 were James, Addison Altendorf, Philip, some French guy named Max, an adult friend named Rob Lemelson. You need to read this before commenting on it.

I can’t fathom to the end of days if everyone in his community from his parents(Hollywood though they be) to the police, his teachers and the few, if any friends he had, couldn’t see this guy had a head full snakes and a heart full of hate. If any good comes out of this tragedy maybe perhaps the Hollywood elitists (who own guns and have armed body guards) and the loony , screeching liberals might finally see that gun controls don’t work. Yeah, right and someday pigs will fly.
