Swiss beaches are gorgeous this time of year. I’d go visit but I can’t find any Swiss-English translation books.

” oceangoing rocket pad in Switzerland.”

And you people made fun of Al Gore and his predictions for rising sea levels.
Looks like Al was right after all.
Word is the Swiss Navy has a very modern naval base in Geneva.

Global warming finally caught up with the Swiss! I knew the oceans were rising, but this is ridiculous.

Now I understand the story of the Swiss family Robinson! They were global warming refugees.

Gee. I wonder why? Surprised they didn’t at least edit it. At most, remove it until they can find the Swiss canal. :>}

Sea Launch is based in Switzerland, but launches from the ocean near the equator. Since they are based in Switzerland, their press releases have a Switzerland byline, which obviously confused the Memorial Day Weekend skeleton crew at the Associated Press.

Here is Sea Launch's official press release for this launch:Sea Launch Successfully Launches EUTELSAT 3B

Watched the launch on live-stream and ground control was mostly in Russian with some English.

Yup. Had some friends who worked on the project early on. I kinda lost track of it after all the hand changing went on. Like the concept.
