The Socialists in France are cutting taxes and spending? Really. I have no information on this, but I just don't believe Socialists will cut taxes and spending. Doesn't happen.

"Austerity" as a policy means cutting spending and raising taxes. That's what the IMF pushes, that's what the EU pushes and that's what they've done in Greece, where the middle class has be so hard hit that the number of abandoned pets lets loose has skyrocketed.

Austerity is pain, pain, pain for no gain.
