McDaniel Monday: Why Iím Voting for Chris McDaniel on June 3

Let me say at the outset that Thad and Rose Cochran are friends of ours….Thad and Erwin, my husband, were in law school at Ole Miss together. We have nothing but the highest respect for Thad and have voted for him every time he has run. Quite truthfully, I was disappointed that he decided to run again and didn’t retire and rest on his laurels.

These are the reasons why I’m voting for Chris McDaniel: My personal feeling is that it’s time for Thad to retire. (Thad’s a year older than I am and that’s OLD) and I don’t believe he has the mental capacity or physical stamina to serve another six years. That’s why he’s reluctant to debate Chris McDaniel, speak before the editorial board of the Clarion-Ledger or any other newspaper, be interviewed on radio, or make very many public appearances. Additionally, I feel like 42 years (36 years in the Senate and 6 years in the U.S. House of Representatives) is too long for any elected representative to serve…. The founding fathers never intended for an elected position to become a lifetime career.

I’ve heard some people say that we need Thad because he’s brought so much money to Mississippi. Yes, he has. But over the 42 years he’s been in Washington, the U.S. national debt has grown from $427 billion to over $17.5 trillion. That’s over $150,000 worth of debt per taxpayer. I don’t know about you, but I don’t want to see us indebted to China (45 cents of every dollar we spend is borrowed) and I don’t want my children and grandchildren to be burdened with the taxation that it will take to keep the country afloat.

42 years in DC? Another reason for term limits... In Washington you should serve 3 terms in the House and 2 terms in the Senate. If you spend all terms, you will be in DC for 18 years. 18 years is still to much.

The McDaniel Campaign and the Conservative groups that are supporting him with big bucks, need to have this lady do a 60 second Ad for Chris; expounding (quickly and succinctly) what she stated in this Article. HECK YEAH!

If this lady can’t do a TV Ad, this article needs be be trimmed down and made into a CAMPAIGN FLYER/MAIL-OUT by the McDaniel campaign. This is powerful... she can speak right to the hearts of a lot of people.

I wish to goodness that some guy named Tom Cochran or Tim Cochran or Thom Cochran or Ted Cochran would have run in the GOP Senate Primary. There would be a run-off for sure.
