How about bring back the draft to include women?
JewishWorldReview ^ | May 27, 2014 | By Alicia Colon

Last January 2013, then Defense Secretary, Leon Panetta, ordered the Joint Chiefs of Staff to study the feasibility of opening all military jobs to women by 2016. This would include more than 200,000 jobs that make up the core of the ground-level combat force in the Army and the Marine Corps. Opponents of women in combat argue, rightly in my opinion, that the military's physical standards must not be compromised to expand access because our military's fighting effectiveness is at stake. Hauling 50 pounds of equipment while walking 20 miles is a standard that must not be demoted as it exemplifies routine combat challenges.

Meanwhile, Sage Santangelo, at 5'3", is fighting to become an infantry officer in the Marine Corps. At a petite 5'3'', Santangelo may not look like a combat fighter but the female second lieutenant has never let that hold her back from pursuing her dream of becoming an infantry officer in the Marine Corps so she said in an ABC News interview. I say-"So what?" I wish I was a foot taller so I'd be at my correct weight but that's not going to happen.

“I wish I were a foot taller,so I’d be at my correct weight.

”How does she justify that?

After reading that a half dozen times it looks that is the author's wish (whose picture makes it look like she could lose a few pounds) and not the 5'3" woman who wants to be a Marine officer. Someone who was 5'3" with the proper weight of someone 6'3" would not be described as "petite".

In the meantime, let's check the draft registration status of one Barry Soetoro, aka Barry Dunham, aka Baraq Hussein 0bama and the social security number he is using.

Sooooo true and right on the money. Today equality is all about reaping the benefits will avoiding the responsibility. Equality ends as soon as the grunt work is required then, suddenly, chivalry is demanded.

Feminists are all about equality until they are asked to do tough jobs. They want the benefits of hard work and labor without doing the actual work. In essence, they want status and they are willing and work tirelessly to change the rules in every group they invade to ensure they come out on top. We, and the rest of the world, are expected to change the rules to suit them. A work ethic based on merits is tossed out for one based on status. This is on display in nearly every women filled office out there. The ladies that work the hardest, that do the most, that achieve, are pushed down so those with the status can rise up. Whether its money, beauty, tit size, weight, there is always a female class system that actively discriminated against the women who play by mens rules of hard work and achievement. My fiance has been through it over and over. She is skinny, pretty, and works like a man. The females at many of the places she works sabotage, talk crap, and actively hinder her at every step. They can’t stand that she gets real work done and they hate her for it and that she is thin. Instead of lifting themselves up and working hard, they make the rules about politics and status so achievers like her never get ahead. I would love to hear from other women about they discrimination, bullying, and garbage they put up with at work perpetrated by women. There is no bigger hater of women then other women.

Anyone that supports the draft is in fact a socialist.

Correct. When a war worth fighting appears, there will be no shortage of talented volunteers. Look what happened right after 9/11.

“Don’t shoot the girl” is only one of the many things included in the “Code of the West”.

Girls on front lines get shot at. With great malice from the shooter.

The purpose of including females in the military forces in the first place was to free up more able-bodied males to carry out the hazardous tasks.

Granted, not every able-bodied male is by nature a warrior - this requires a fierce and dedicated state of mind, not an attribute equally shared across all of humanity.

Which is also a reason that a forced draft will not work. Unwilling or unmotivated soldiers are more a liability than asset for any army.

I think that every woman up to the age of 55 should be enrolled in the draft. There are far too many women who are OK with voting Democrat because they don’t have to suffer the consequences of their votes. They vote Democrat because the Democrats cut the military budget to give that money to welfare. These women voters don’t have to worry about facing an enemy on the battlefield, so they don’t care if the military is too small and is equipped with old equipment. It’s time they faced the consequences of voting for Democrats. A bullet to the head can really ruin a good hairdo.

Considering the state of things, I’m glad I didn’t sign up. The air force wanted me for some position doing IT work, jumping out of planes, cross training with the army, to set up forward operating bases. I’m glad I didn’t. My buddies that went regret it to this day. It was a pointless war then and it still is now. I predicted that we would never achieve any real sense of victory in Afghanistan, especially when you consider the Russians experience there. It would last long enough for a Democrat to cut and run and look at where we are today. Pointless loss of life so goatherders and Muslim psychopaths can run amok. I was right about it and Iraq. It wasn’t the great call to arms my grandfather experienced when he enlisted to fight the Japs. In was nothing more than a political battle to fight a faceless enemy in a crap hole part of the world that hates us and would stab us in the back the moment we turned around. Japan and Germany were civilized cultures that could be put back into place. Muslim dirt holes always have and always will be a den for human misery, perfect for murderers, barbarians, and child predators.

If you get Elizabeth Warren or some other deranged person as president, part of the plan will be to have a draft for males only. Women will be secure as they graduate colleges, get jobs in US businesses, while young men are in some “exotic” land, reshaping American businesses to be more “feelings-oriented” and with the need of more men the illegals will be made citizens but exempt from fighting. It will be a way to kill and maim as many males as possible while strengthening the femdom society that liberal women so desire. The liberal female president will convince the American voter that while “women can fight alongside men” that 453 years (or whatever number) of oppression is enough to limit women draftees.

Some bright 18 year old male will get the idea and sue over the Equality issue, since the women opened the camel’s tent to sub service and combat. But I believe the upper draft age is like 36?

Now if you want to draft older there are plenty of civie jobs that they can do. War is not a old persons best venue.

Look at our Brass they are still fighting the LAST war.

Ret. SCPO wife. I held down the home front, washed fatigues in the bathtub along with all our clothes including cloth diapers, dried them outside, and ironed them, sewed on patches, altered pants. And kept the kids/house. BAQ stunk in the 60’s didn’t get much better in the 80’s when he retired.

As for the rich they just buy their way out.

Yes, absolutely.
They wanted the vote and now (voluntary) battlefield positions.
If we don’t include them in a draft, it is sexual discrimination, and not allowable.

“I wish I were a foot taller,so I’d be at my correct weight.” How does she justify that?

Maybe she's solid and extremely fit; I would expect so if she's a Marine. Bottom line: if she can meet the standard, she gets the job. But no allowances against the standard.

Sorry, can't. Soon after he got elected POTUS there was a Selective Service rules change to allow destruction of older SS cards. Guess who fell in that range? How convenient, no?

A draft's used when the military can't get as many people as it needs.

That's NOT happening.

Isn't reinstituting the draft a liberal 'hate' idea and has nothing to do with what our services need?

The last person pushing the idea of a draft was Charlie Rangel... democrat... and it was done to 'stick it' to Republicans. Has something changed?

And on the flip side. There are plenty of Republicans who carelessly want to use the military for a force of good around the world without ever contemplating the fallout and risks of such actions.

Putting girls into combat is sick, demented, and detrimental to military effectiveness. This is why the Globo-Marxists are pushing for it so hard.
