Abortion Polls and Hidden Conservatism
American Thinker ^ | 05/27/2014 | Bruce Walker

I have written a great deal about the solid conservative majority in America. Most conservatives seem to think that Americans describe themselves as “conservative” when in fact they are not – but polling data on the public policy question of abortion shows that this is not true. In fact, this data strongly suggests what I have long suspected: many Americans decline to call themselves “conservative” when in fact they are conservative. When we grasp the madness and wickedness of leftism, this makes sense. No sane or moral person could ascribe to that that toxic misology.

What do people mean when they call themselves “conservative”? Most polls that dig deeper into the character of this conservatism – i.e., by breaking the broad category of “conservative” into “fiscal” and “social” – relate that more Americans call themselves “fiscal conservative” than “social conservative.”

What issues do “social conservative” respondents care about the most? The litmus-test issue for the last four decades has been abortion. So if “social conservative” is the smaller group of conservatives, and if abortion is the single most important issue to these conservatives, and if my proposition that America is overwhelmingly conservative is false, then an analysis of abortion polling should show that social conservatives are a minority of Americans. But that is not the case at all.

The disjunction in understanding comes when we allow the leftist establishment, which controls the connective tissue of the public mind, to form each question, to interpret each response, and to present as conclusions what pleases its bigotries – a condition of which all conservatives who think must surely be aware. We ought to expect this in polling about abortion, and this is just what we find.

Two terms of Obama would seem to counter the conservative America meme. And don’t tell me that the GOP didn’t offer a conservative alternative. If you are a CONSERVATIVE you vote for who you have to to get him out of office. Romney may not have been a John Bircher, but he wasn’t Obama. If ‘’conservatives’’ are too stupid to understand that we are so done in this country.

Murdering the unborn is how the issue should be framed, and it should be noted that the holocaust of abortion has been visited on black Americans more than any other group.

It should also be noted that Obama for reasons I cannot fathom other than that he is a narcissistic sociopath, is the chief cheerleader for abortion, at any time, anywhere, and paid for by all of us.

All of the “Left” are compliant with if not actively agitating for murdering the unborn, for convenience, for money, for fill in the blank.

Offering up the newborn to Moloch comes to mind.

Oh yes, God is coming and He is not happy. Do you think if dividing His land will bring His wrath, how much more so is the murder of the unborn? God said be fruitful, murder of the unborn is not what He said we were to do.

People who call abortion choice are mass murderers, already guilty of more deaths than the holocaust in WWII. The Nazis murdered 6 million Jews, in the US it is now approaching 60 million murdered infants.

Do you really think that God will not bring justice to the unborn murdered in the womb? God is going to answer the voices of the souls beneath the altar who cry out for justice.

Please come soon. Please end these barbarians from murdering your creation. Soon please.

Respondents who thought that they were pro-choice are actually pro-life, and those who thought that they supported Roe v. Wade actually oppose the decision.

Aparently low-information voters can be found at all points on the political spectrum.

The left is always calling prolifers radicals and women haters. What wise candidate is going to tell the left they are calling over half of our citizens names. We are so ready to take on this battle and call out evil. Who's going to attack the politicians for not caring when a baby is burned to death slowly, or torn limb to limb, or stab bed in the back of the head? Sorry for the graphic words. Can you imagine the cruel and heartless people who do this or know what is done and don't care? I pray there eyes and hearts are opened to the truth. If they don't repent,....God will take care of it.
