A Papillion restaurant has nixed a gun rights groups plan to dine while displaying firearms on their hips. The group had arranged to eat dinner Thursday at Texas Roadhouse at Shadow Lake Towne Center. But the restaurants managing partner, Steve Jackson, said Tuesday that the group wasnt clear about its intentions and was no longer welcome if the participants openly wore their firearms.
I want to feed people not have a circus in here, Jackson said.
Nick Crawford, the groups organizer, said the restaurant expressed concerns about liability issues and general complaints.

Best quote out of the article:
It always seems like the anti-gunners always get their way instead of the pro-Second Amendment people. That, to me, its getting old.
Gays sue because of a Cake ,so go for it
Well that would have been one dinner not interrupted by a holdup.
Maybe they were afraid that the ghost of Ben Thomson was gonna show.

You can have an all-you-can-eat buffet, and your customers will love it, but if you advertise it, you’ll have the fattest, hungriest people in the county putting you out of business.
Same here — it’s one thing to allow open carry, it’s another to advertise it.
I’ve seen that myself in a TR that will remain nameless just in case national management has a cow. Quite a few, actually. I carry concealed, myself, in that restaurant, every time I’m in there. Never a hassle.

I guess Jackson doesn’t serve peanuts?
Nebraska, isn’t that like a little Canada or something or
maybe a state Canada gave up on and it defaulted to us?
Well said...
Ya think a restaurant called “The Butterfly” is going to want real men ruining the ambiance?
I understand Texas has a pretty good tort reform law in place.
Same here. I try not to ‘print’ with IWB, but when I’m wearing a belly-pack it’s pretty obvious to all—but Democrats. No problem.
I lived in Papillion a few years back when it was a good small town. Now its becoming an extension of Omaha with libs moving in.
Glad I moved after sold house and got back to the country!
Most of Nebr is conservative, just gotta watch out for the donks around omaha and lincoln!
I went to school with a guy who would knock the crap out of anyone who took food off of his plate. A guy grabbed a pat of butter one day and my friend clocked him.
Maybe the manager of the restaurant is afraid someone will try to steal someone else’s butter.
Or “I told you medium rare, damm it!” BANG!
I’ve eaten at that place a couple times.
Never again...
Plus the shopping center is for nothing but yuppies and city folk.
I actually feel sorry for the management there; they just want to run a business and don’t want to choose sides (publicly) on any issue.
That said, maybe the homosexuals are right when it comes to tactics; maybe a law suit is in order. Even so, the owners were put in a hard spot by our guys, even if it was not intended.
