To: I am Richard Brandon

I will be having a partial knee replacement in 4 weeks. The inner side of my knee has deteriorated from osteoarthritis but the outer side is still okay. Smaller incision and less invasive than total knee replacement. A much shorter recovery time. Was told about 2 weeks of rehab and will be able to walk without aids. One night stay in hospital. Full recovery for PKR around 3 months compared to around 6 months for TKR. Still not looking to the pain even though it won’t be as bad as a TKR.

Best of luck on your surgery, and if they prescribe anticoagulants post-op, for G-d’s sake stay compliant.
