A furious Richard Martinez delivered a four-letter stomping to do-nothing politicians who have called him to cry crocodile tears over his son’s brutal killing.

“I don’t give a s--- that you feel sorry for me,” a weeping Martinez said about the congressional condolence calls...

“Get to work and do something . . . Getting a call from a politician doesn’t impress me,” he told the Washington Post...

"While this man grieves and lashes out against firearms, he discounts the murders of three men who were bludgeoned and stabbed to death by the perp."

Because "hammer control", "machete control" and the infinitely more effective "crazy person control" don't fit in with the liberal agenda.

(I also blame politicians -- the liberals who passed the Community Mental Health Act of 1963 -- but they are mostly dead, now.) It's truly pathetic to use the death of a loved one to further a political agenda. I was also reminded of the Wellstone funeral.

Yes, the guy is part of the problem.
the amoral lawyers who insisted the mentally ill can't be
kept in mental institutions for more than 24 hours and there records are wiped clean.
This guy is a left wing Lawyer and is giddy that he can use his kids death for his 15 minutes of fame.

Why isn't this guy planning his kids funeral and memorial to his life rather than holding press conferences !

His is a vile creature .

"Is he REALLY a criminal defense attorney?"

WaPo identifies Mr Martinez as a criminal defense attorney. --> HERE

Given that, Mr. Martinez's extremely twisted logic (ignore the crazy person behind the gun, hammer, machete, and BMW, just focus on the gun) makes some sense.

(Posted elsewhere: "The cynic in me says he might could wrestle himself a Senate seat out of this if he plays his California cards just right.")

An attorney and a criminal defense one at that. Professional Licensed Showboat Liars. When our system looks the other way when lawyers lie in court in a “win at any cost” attitude, justice is never served, except for those who bring the most money to the argument.

Much of our legal system has grown to be nothing more that a life support system for attorneys.

Sure I paint with a broad brush, but when good men do nothing, tyranny wins every time.

Using a criminal defense lawyer for anti-gun propaganda, not a winner IMO.

I agree with Martinez that politicians needs to do something but not the “gun control” he wants. Certainly there has been a lot of finger pointing at “guns” as the culprit that killed those people but strange those same fingers missed the knives, hammer and vehicle that were also used to take those lives. The people that needs “fixing” is the people, they the tools.

He is using his child’s death as a opportunity to push his political agenda.

I guess it wouldn’t take too much effort to find some of the criminals he defended....and THEIR victims.

What this clown is doing isn’t any different that what the prairie fairy killer did, the prairie fairy killer just took it to the extreme.

Tolerance for everyone except those you disagree with.

If someone went on a killing spree and started killing NRA members this clown would be cheering them on and dancing in the street.

Politicians “doing something” is the reason we are even discussing this. More laws passed that WILL NOT be enforced only to make whiners feel good because there is a law out there.

Politicians can no more to legislate personal responsibility than it can to “do something” to have mitigated the circumstances in which the victim’s and their families are impacted by a non-political act. That is, outside of having the means and ability to identify and sequester nutburgers let loose in our society to exact their damage because of nothing more than political correctness.

So much for your “doing something”. Maybe a better answer is to “do something” with people who feel the only answer is for politicians to “do something”.

It's clear that the son's actions result from the so-called father, for Proverbs 22:6 says "Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it."

Clearly this son was not trained in the way he should go, but was left to his own devices. That training is the responsibility of the the father. To see who's responsible, the man should look in the mirror.

There is a burger joint in West Springfield, ma that is pretty good, called the White Hut. I first went there in honor of the liar and thief Obama on the way home from the Big E (New England’s fair).

I always tend to give these parents some slack. He obviously is upset and in a lot of pain. If he rants about gun control, so be it. I’m not going to attack him for it.

Of course, the agenda-driven Libs in the media take these moments of pain and use them for their purposes. In part to get ratings and in part to drive an agenda. They are scum.

I do too, OB...yet this fellow seems a bit too “driven”...did you see the video from the funeral? Really, it was like a campaign speech.

Learning today that he is a criminal defense lawyer makes me even more perturbed by his sudden interest in gun control.
