Porn performers in California must wear condoms during film shoots and their employers must provide regular testing under a bill that passed the state Assembly on Tuesday. The bill, AB1576 by Assemblyman Isadore Hall, D-Compton, advanced to the Senate on a 41-12 vote, the minimum number of votes needed. The bill follows a similar mandate in Los Angeles County, approved by voters in 2012. Hall said his bill is a workplace-safety measure to curb the spread of sexually transmitted diseases, citing recent industry-imposed moratoriums on adult film shoots after actors were diagnosed.

I’ll bet that most of the AIDS cases were gay men, and of the few women, all received unprotected anal sex (just like gay men!) and most also did drugs.
The fact that most female porn stars have prodigious unprotected sex with men who have lots of unprotected sex tells us all we need to know about the lack of AIDS risk among heterosexuals.
I knew some people in the industry and most attractive porn actresses become well known “stars” for the following reasons:
-There are very few attractive women (and even fewer men) who can do that type of work and genuinely look like they are enjoying it (a handful actually do). One 30-minute scene takes an entire day to film and they have to look good and happy for most of it.
-Even the largest porn studios have maybe 5-10 actresses at one time that they continuously rotate.
-Men who are into porn get to know this group of girls VERY well. Some watch porn for entire days since puberty.
-Far more men (and even more women) watch and pay for porn than admit it. Porn stars are at least as popular as top Hollywood stars but we don’t talk about them in public.
-Attractiveness declines with age and pregnancy so they have a very short career. About half also leave on their own due to pressure from friends/family/lovers but that stigma is going away.
(and yes, I consider them actresses and not prostitutes. They are paid to act out a scene on film and there is no actual sexual pleasure for any of the actors. Prostitutes are paid for personal sexual pleasure.)
Good idea. Now they should move on to politicians who screw the taxpayers.

I haven’t watched or looked at any porn since my early teen years. I sort of view it as psychological junk food for the weak minded. Not that I DON’T enjoy such things, but I prefer to be a live participant, and with the same person. :p
I don’t view porn, or even prostitution any differently than I do a couple of boxers or football players beating one another to a pulp, while being paid well to do it.
