The family of a 65 year-old veteran claims that VA police stomped on the veterans head and neck, causing him to suffer a stroke and die several weeks later, a new lawsuit alleges.

At the risk of being off topic (but it does relate to government arrogance and abuse) have you ever had the misfortune of visiting a Social Security office? They will give you the verbal equivalent of a stomp on the head.
If not for one nurse who knew the truth, the VA would have just lied and gotten away with it.

And then he can't even leave of his own free will -- with his wife's knowledge and agreement -- AMA (against medical advice)?? Are you @#%$^^@%$# kidding me, he gets ATTACKED for this, for demanding to be treated well??

This incompetence by the VA existed in the past, and under the human blasphemy in the White House currently, it had become, like many governmental problems, a PLAGUE.

Short summary of these events:
65 year old vet goes to the VA for dialysis treatment.
Gets prepped for treatment by have a medical device inserted in his arm.
*** Waits 4 hrs without treatment ***
Decides that is long enough and attempts to leave for another hospital to receive treatment.
On his way out, the staff tells him he cant leave and calls the VA cops.
VA cops tackle him and apply pressure to the carotid artery which results in a stroke.
Stroke eventually kills the Vet.
According to other accounts, the vet did not fight or struggle with the VA cops. He was attacked, assaulted and killed without ANY probable cause. Further, the cops did not even attempt to assess the situation by talking to the vet. In my opinion, the cops committed murder and should be held accountable for their illegal actions.
I hate to say it, but this veteran’s death would not have been covered by the media in 2011. Maybe it will now. I wish the deaths at the VA due to Legionnaire’s Disease were also looked into now.
Of course he didn't know about it until he heard it on the news.

I totally agree, Cops in general are out of control in America. They are no longer peace officers. They now view themselves as Carbinieri or Gendarms or VOPOS of the most dangerous kind. Not only are they protected by the Government and courts, they are protected by unions.
This had its initiation under Bush II after 9-11 and has exploded under the current occupant in the White House.
